I think you're right... And like I heard earlier today...it's impossible to see patterns in the mind of a madman...he may see patterns though. :-\ Or something like that.
The scenerios appear to be very patterned and "practiced", i.e., they have been to all the sites previously.
They regrouped, took care of ordinary business over the weekend and were back on the "job" today...except I think they switched shooters Friday (#7 & #8....just a little different technique....
