One wonders if this is not part of some elaborate, distracting "'One-Two'Punch"..... one team creates chaos in an area just outside of D.C., such as primarily north of there, and draw federal resources and attention up there, and then, they try to pull off some funny business on a larger scale in the District proper. I, too, think the Governor of Maryland should now be on TV urging some calm and ways to protect oneself and at least keep on top of this. Hoping the people in power start connecting the dots reallllly quickly....

I, too, think the Governor of Maryland should now be on TV... It's absolutely unbelievable to me that he's not.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is basically a distraction. They picked up a Jordanian associate of Mohammed Atta's in Hollywood, FL a couple of days ago. He was buying a one-way ticket to Palatka, FL, a town on the Amtrak line, and for some reason, they thought he was headed for DC after that.
I also think - although, of course, I'm always willing to accept reality if it turns out to be different from my scenario ;-) - that if these people get cornered at some point, they will then probably blow up their truck and themselves, trying to take as many law enforcement people with them as possible.
