Did it cross anyones mind that a box van is not the most expeditious of get-away vehicles???

Oh, but it is. Box vans are everywhere, and people generally pay them no attention whatsoever. Then there's the fact that a van like that can be fitted out as a convenient shooting post - in fact, with a little preparation you can shoot from inside the box without the shooter or weapon showing and even with some of the sound being muted. That would take care of any problems with brass from a semiauto too.

But they would probably have changed vehicles by now, even perhaps have changed the shooting team.

It is interesting that among the arrested an ex-body guard for Quanel X from the Black muslim movement and an ex assistant to Vera Katz.

And sheriff Moose's last employer was Vera Katz, too.

I'll be very surprised if this isn't a well thought out plan unfolding. The only question is what the plan is - general terror or maybe misdirection in building up to something else.

NW DC is a nice area making it less likely off the bat that this would be a drug related or drive by shooting.

DC area is going to be in full panic mode if this keeps up. Parents might not send their kids to school tomorrow.

The point is that the level of competence is high. You don't glean these skills watching television or reading a book.....

If two are involved (which was originally reported) then the odds of two nutjobs working together diminish.....

There's plenty of free lancers who do not report at work to anyone except themselves. Regardless, as Paid Terrorists, they have access to the money to support them.

Weekdays provide a very normal pattern at the plaza/gas station locations. The kid was "early" for school I believe... when there were less possible witnesses...

The cops and FBI must feel like dogs on a chain being dragged from place to place, never knowing where they will be dragged next.

I would guess the snipers would continue going south encircling DC.

Very tactical operation in play here??

I'm at work in NW, DC. The area on the map doesn't look like the best of areas...could be totally unrelated...drugs or some other crime. Lots of shootings in that area generally.

NOPE...heading East on Route 50 and will go to the Eastern Shore and "mingle" with the hunters...and then head back to Western shore in a few days...
