Don't know if it is posted but today's body shots are suggesting that with all the heat, the sniper is keeping more distance. Agreed, 5.56mm drops like a rock at about 250 meters. I think that the sniper didn't use a BDC (bullet drop compensation) calculation with his shot. His oversight probably saved the boys life.

No one took responsibility for 9/11, either.Or the anthrax attacks.

I heard reports about a possible school dispute, but think I've also heard reports that the shooter was approx. 75 feet away. If the boy was shot from 75 feet away, it's unlikely a schoolkid did the shooting.

Mitchellville road for all intents ends at 197 but continues through the parking lot all the way through to Target, intersecting with Harbour. Splitting hairs, I agree but Mitchellville Road isn't really a road at that point. The shopping center is located between 197 and 301. Michaels is in the same parking lot as Target and Boards, just split by "Michellville Road" which at that point is an avenue through the parking lot.

With the info posted on the wyly family, obviously if there is any Michael's connection, the shooter could just as easily be an anarchist/ecowhacko as an islamonut.

Where were they all weekend I wonder?

I mis-interpreted your initial response. I am so READY for the "surrender now" crowd to come on to this thread that I jumped on you by mistake. My bad.

I only watch Fox. And it has been on local talk radio. But you're right. None of my friends In PHX have had a clue until I told most of them.

I think that the sniper didn't use a BDC (bullet drop compensation) calculation with his shot. His oversight probably saved the boys life. According to reports, this was a chest shot, and IIRC the MO is to go for the body, not the head. This doesn't sound like an oversight -- merely that he aimed as desired, but didn't get the kill.

The Secret Service is involved because this is so damn close to D.C.. How quick was the SS there during Anthrax attacks? As I said...this is all whatever you want to call it...subjective, objective, in the eye of the beholder...you name it. If this gets pinned on a white guy with a short hair cut and a real hard on for killing people...I want to know everything about his history...ever in the army? Ever serve in Iraq? Ever been to a middle eastern country? Phone bills that show calls to the middle east?
Oh I am sorry...was thinking about Tim McVeigh there....move along...crayola chart will tell you when to be concerned.

New info from the middle school - reported on TV 9.
The bullet (or fragments) has been removed from the victim and the batf has it and they should tell us at the 2 PM update if it matches the Montgomery Co. shootings.

The Michael's connection is clear: What's more Americana than little old ladies, stay-at-home moms, and den mothers cross-stitching, making crafts and cross stitching? Seems this is designed to scare across a spectrum of bg's -- white, minority, old, young, immigrants...
This person may be caught and we'll never know (in the name of protecting the public psyche and preserving a goldmine of information that a captured terrorist could provide (so long as none of his companions knows he's out of the loop).
I would bet this will die down, and if the SOB is still on the loose, he'll pop up in some other 'random' locale a week from now...

Sorry, doesn't wash. People are trying SOOO hard to make this anythng but a terrorist act that I find it sickening. If I am wrong, and this is just a frustrated whackjob, then I will apologize profusely all over FR, but, I am not going to discount (to the point of ignoring) the more obvious connections.

***It would take more than bone to break up a FMJ 223 (unless you got those junk, electro-plated bullets). It would take a more solid object to do this such as a brick or concrete wall.***
Good old ordinace gelitain will show you what happens, a bone or hard surface is not needed providing the velocity is still present. You can get all you need to know about the .223 round at:

Yes exactly. There are some kids that have some decent aim. But two hits from that distance and nobody saw him? Bullshit. It is connected and this is exactly what we were warned about. So what the hell good are the warnings, if we are being hit and then they turn around and deny it being terrorism?
I heard some talking head say that this is not a terrorist doing this. WTF?!? That if connected to Al Qaeda or someone else that they would be gloating and sending messages through the system.
How many times have we heard from Hamas that they were bringing their war to our shores? This is EXACTLY what they do in Israel. This does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

The kid was getting out of the car right? Dunno. There's one article that implies it, but I personally have not seen anything one way or the other.

"Bowie is mostly white (compared to the rest of the county) and mostly upper-middle class to lower-rich class. Most of the Republican support in the county comes from Bowie. Lots of nice places to go in the city, low crime, $400,000 houses"Well MOST of Bowie is not upper-middle class...average sale price is just under 200,000 for houses built some thirty years ago. You certainly get more of a house there for the money, than in Montgomery County.
I have some in-laws that live there, and it's definitely an average middle class neighborhood. There is some new development which boasts houses in the 400,000 range, and you probably will find professionals buying up houses there. You are correct that it is the one of the few majority white areas left, although Bowie state college for example is one of the oldest traditionally black colleges, started to educate teachers for black schools.
If this area was targeted for attack because of the demographic, its very similar to the economic range of the area in Wheaton/Aspen Hill that was hit.
