They have not found any casings yet. Which makes me wonder how much of a bullet fragment they need to recover to be certain that the same rifle is being used in all of the shootings.

But I think there really was some sort of geological profile, because I saw some photo which had been doctored with different colors for the different areas where the guy(s) could be. I'm not describing it well, but I think that actually exists!

Yesterday, I was shooting at pieces of clay pigeons that measured less than three inches at 70 yards with a borrowed Ruger 10/22 with a 9 power scope.

I have no idea. At first I thought not, but the proximity to so many of the shootings may indicate a tangential connection, such as deliveries. Also Michael's tends to locate near major highways, so it may be a coincidence that the stores are near areas that provide a good way to get away.

Maybe he just lives near there. Knows the area real good.

Or maybe he drives a commercial truck/van that makes deliveries to stores/malls in the area. That would make him know the area even better. And he would have a vehicle that would have a legitimate reason to be in the area

Tell me how moving a HumVee in traffic is even worth the time. They would be much better off on motorcycle or a smaller vehicle that could manuever. BTW, the sniper isn't that stupid, why would he take the chance of getting gunned down by the national guard? He has already proven to be stealthy against the police.

I'm inclined to agree - I think it's more a matter of "hitting America in the 'heartland' with killings of 'innocents' where they least suspect it." My fear is that this could be followed up by more shootings and bombings not only in the Capitol region, but elsewhere across the land.
