...And I believe that without Free Republic, Algore might have succeded in stealing the 2000 election...where would we be now if that had happened?

I'd be an Alcoholic by now if eGore was President

Thank You Freepers for saving my life

I still remember that nightmare and the WONDERFUL Freepers yelling "GET OUT OF CHEANEY'S HOUSE"

FREEPERS ARE THE BEST!!!

"I'd be an Alcoholic by now if eGore was President"

LOL...me too. I too thank FReepers for saving my life. Those "GET OUT OF CHENY'S HOUSE" FReeps were GREAT...as were the ones in Florida, where Al almost managed to steal the election with his tinfoil-hat-wearing, Democrat re-re-re-re-re-counters gloming "voter intent".

More than just the fact that we'd both be alcoholics, though....I believe that IF Al had stolen the election, we would be living under martial law, and those fictional jackbooted thugs demanding "your papers please" that the libertarians are always going on about would be reality...I live near the NY State border. On 9/11, we crossed it, to talk to friends...you know how it was...there was a universal need to hurry up and physically visit with those friends...because we were all afraid that martial law would indeed be implimented, and that even intra-state borders would be closed....

Thank God and President Bush that it didn't happen.

Well...I'm off to find a pub where I can watch the Bill's game....good luck with the FReepathon, and tomorrow is Monday...I haven't forgotten (problem is remembering on MONDAY, though these threads are sooooo great, there isn't much chance of forgetting) <G>

Have a GREAT DAY, fellow FReepers!
