Four men removed from an America West plane at Oakland International Airport had prompted concerns because three of them paid cash for a ticket surcharge for the flight and had spread out to different seats, while the fourth was seen talking to them, authorities said Friday.

I just posted on another thread asking for some insight but they all went to bed before I get get it typed.(slow) anyhow. I'm in a bit of a panic here myself.

I will cut this short before you all leave too. I am living in a samll town which has no ethnic people at all. That in itself is strange. But in the last 6 to 8 month's I have been noticing M.E. people moving in and opening businesses.

As a matter of fact I ran into the neighbor that used to live on the hill above me (they bought another home this summer) she informed me that they sold the house to M.E. people.

Question- Does this sound strange to you guys or am I letting my paranoia run wild?

I agree that their actions on the plane were suspicious, but since when did paying for something with cash become a Bad Thing? What part of "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE" is so controversial?

I suppose we're supposed to pay for everything in such a way that it can all be conveniently traced and monitored, to make sure we don't do anything "suspicious". For our own good, of course. That way if we purchase some evil item like a firearm or a greasy hamburger, the PC Gestapo can come set us straight.

I am always suspicious. I know some ME doctors and they are careful to make their opinions known--most of them are Christians, and are thus in danger of death in their home countries.

You are a free as a bird to pay cash for an airline ticket. On 911- 19 Middle Eastern males paid cash for one-way tickets. Now, is that or is it not a profile that should be considered in the future?

I live in a small, very non-ethnic town as well. But there are quite a few people from the Mid-East and India. Most of them are doctors who work at the local hospitals. I know one doctor from Iran, he came here because he can make decent money, it's a relaxing area, and the cost of living is low.

I wouldn't worry about it--if it is some sort of terror cell, why would they choose a small, non-ethnic town? Doesn't sound like a very good way to blend in and not get nocited to me. Keep an eye out for suspicious things, of course, but I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it if I were you!

Read between the lines. Three middle-eastern males (PROFILE!!!!!!) were acting suspiciously, so the level of scrutiny was raised (PROFILE!!!!!!) which is how it is supposed to work.

Look for Mineta to have the security personnel involved either fired or assigned to other duties because they had to use special techniques (PROFILE!!!!!) to do their job.
