Christopher Reeve fell off of his horse, and landed on his head. It was during an Equestrian competition. His horse went over a jump, then stopped suddenly. Reeve flew off the horse an onto his noggin. Clearance had nothing to do with it at all. It had to do with his incompetence.

His bad decision was getting on a horse in the first place. I pointed out his liberalism, to show he had made many mistakes before the one that broke his neck.

Stop dodging, the point is you're wrong. Lives get ruined by single bad decisions. That's how it works. Might be marrying the wrong person, might be riding the wrong horse, might be drinking and driving, might be obsessing on the bitterness of a bad relationship. One bad decision and your life if foqed. The important thing is to not be crippled with fear of life, that's the ultimate bad decision. I'd rather be crippled like Reeves than crippled like you.
