I think that what weikel is trying to say, is that IF there is a divorce, the laws are not equitable, and a man stands to lose everything if he makes a bad choice of a spouse.

No one should have their life ruined over a single decision, and marriage is too easy to screw up, resulting in a man being a slave to a woman or the government for as long as they deem it nessesary.

Add children to mix, and a man has no options at all. Better to remain single, then to risk it all over love. You can always love a dog. Sex and love are not the same, and sex is too easy to get these days anyway.

Better for you to remain single, that's for sure.

The women of the world are, no doubt, grateful for your decision.

No one should have their life ruined because of a single decision huh?

Tell that to Christopher Reeves, one bad decision and he's paralyzed from the neck down for life.

Better off that Sonny Bono though, one bad decision and he's dead.

People's lives get ruined by single bad decisions every day in this world. That's how life works. Problem is you're obsessed on the failure, that kind of thinking cripples people. What happens if the company you work for goes under? The house you live in collapses? The region you call home suffers some major disaster? All of life is geared to failure if that's what you expect. Better to work for success. If you make your marriage work then the state of the divorce laws has no impact on you. Obsess over failure as a reason to succeed, not as a reason to flee in terror.
