Read the article carefully, and you can see from where this linkage of Mr Baker with the Montgomery Co. shootings is coming from. This whole thing appears to have been started by the ATF! Where have we seen this before? Why at both Ruby Ridge, and Waco. The ATF has a history of "embellishing" the recorda, or alleged records of people thay are dealing with on a professional basis. This does NOT pass the smell test!
For that matter, why is the ATF (or even any other Federal agency, when push comes to shove) involved in a local missing persons case?

Who is the man the BATF barbequed in California, for being nutty and telling his neighbors tall tales? I wondered what their jurisdictional duties were there, too.

I get your point. However, it is my understanding that the ATF offered their technical "help" with ballistics and firearms identification. Need I say more. ;-)

It's not a local shooting case! This thing went interstate giving the federales all the excuses they need to mess with people.
