I don't know if I should call my broker and buy the company. Nah . . . , I'll just buy a six-pack.

He's dead Jim.

Didn't they make a movie about Salon called "Flatliners"?

The Drudge headline reads;
"SALON.COM is a penny stock...Closes at 0.01...".

I thought that it's been a "penny stock" for some time now or are they just being witty? Looking all over the financial news, I can't see what happened about their reverse stock split. I just found reports that they were going to do it and no follow up. Can any investment type tell us what happens next if it goes to zero?

Is that the red cent we've always heard about?

That gives it a total market capitalization of about $140,000. Probably still overpriced.

They get delisted.

They file for chapter 11.

Stock goes for $0.

Most everyone gets fired.

Assets are sold to pay off creditors.

Remaining Salon employees are fired.

I thought that technically they were already considered delisted when they were sent down to the small cap market. I don't think even there a stock can hang around at zero, but Salon seems to dodge every bullet that takes out other better companies all of the time. I think they've finally ran out of Democrats with more money than sense wanting to throw their money down a hole to save Salon, which has been the only way they've stayed open the past year.

Well, so they lost 75% of their remaining value yesterday. That's quite a plunge.

Time for their generous donors to inject a little more cash, I'd say. Nothing like throwing good money after bad, if you're a rich liberal looking to make trouble. Better to lose it all in Salon than to spend it killing babies in the third world or some similar liberal cause.

Bankrupt Ideas cannot be the foundation for any enterprise.

You can quote me on this!

Who will the N.Y. Times quote if Salon vanishes???

I love to see liberals fail, especially in business when they are so anti-business and socialist.

Capitalism, at it's most basic, is giving the people/customers a product or service they desire at a reasonable price.

I guess most agree with me that Salon has not much of a product or service! Adios MF.

Hmm... for that fifty I sent JimRob I could have bought 5000 shares of Salon! Of course, with FR you actually get content for your money...
