What kind of a populist are you if the people aren't with you?
Pat Buchanan?
Sorry for the cheap shot. But it was just to tempting to pass up.

BTTT How can people so smart, and whose views are so popular, be beaten so often by someone so clueless? The idea that George Bush is a gifted politician whose views are quite mainstream would make their world crumble. On the other hand, if they are so often trounced by an out-of-touch moron, then what does it say about them?
Wonderful! But why can't ANYONE draw the man to look like himself? The attack cartoons, in their rush to insult President Bush, feature so dissimilar an image that I believe they actually lose the point. Even the art on this magazine doesn't resemble the President Bush I see. I nominate FReeper Billie, who is the only person who has the talent to pull this off, I believe she already has a charming portrait done of our President. Pleae post here, dear Billie.

The democrats are going nuts and if that isn't hard enough for them, it must just make them sick to see it in print. Great article. Smart, humble, kind, great leader, excellent team, God-fearing, disciplined, funny, clever, and 20 steps in front of them all. The divide is even greater because not only do Americans see this in Bush but it accentuates the tawdriness of the left.

Thanks, Pokes.

I think the most rediculous thing Gore said or done during the debates is when he said ;
"Our family has always supported Unions, Matter of fact, As a baby, My mother would to sing me to sleep using the Union Label Song" The fact is....... The "Union Label Song" was released when Albert Gore was 23 years old :-)

"All they find is their own skeletons for all the world to see.""MEMORIES........MAKE ME MAD THAT THEY ARE GONE....
MISTY DEMOCRATIC MEMORIES........OF THE WAY WE WERE!"
Stop me, before I try to quote Shakespeare! LOL!

Over time I've heard many Republicans question the wisdom of Bush's failure to attack Democrats despite horrendous slanders and misrepresentations. Does he know something we and the 'Rats don't?
It reminds me of an old Dave Gardner quote: "Love your enemies and drive them nuts." ...Hey, it works for W.
To: AntiJen
Great, now the Rats will know the secret, be honest, have clear objectives, tell time with a calender, not a watch, trust the people, don`t beat yourself up in small fights but NEVER LOSE the important ones, work hard but don`t brag about it, don`t respond to small, really small yaping Rats, be loyal and demand loyality, put the country before yourself, love God and respect your office. It really simple, just do all the things Bill did, NOT

. . . Bush glanced over his shoulder, took a beat--and nodded once, as if to say: Hi there--be with you in a moment. The exact moment I knew for sure Dubya was the man for the job.
What gets me is that the 'superior' Dims, after almost 2 years, still misunderestimate him. They don't have a clue as to who they're dealing with here and I hope they never learn. Daschle is having a melt down before our eyes and I love it.

"I've been tossing around the idea of subscribing to the Weekly Standard. This just might be the clincher!"Hey don't get carried away just because of one good article, It's still a rag of a magazine, and not worth putting good money into. I can't bear the thoughts of subsidizing that leering Crystol. (I made the mistake of subscribing when it first came out. Never again.)
To: Pokey78
don't think the DemocRat politcal gurus are that stupid.
Michael Dukakis on a tank.
That's all I'm going to say about that.

"Whether by design or instinct, Bush has a history of driving people who are sure they're much smarter than he is to incredibly silly and self-immolating acts." LOL! And doing it very well!

You know, the more I look back on it, the more those debates seem like some surreal dream that happened a long time ago. I'm surprised that Gore didn't come out and say
"Back on my home planet K-PAX..."
I can even picture him saying that in that deadpan monotone he talks in.
To: bybybill
But if they did these things they wouldn't be democrats now would they?
