That's something I've NEVER UNDERSTOOD. I can understand in some way rejecting Christianity, but to embrace THE enslaving religion of African blacks and then to take names of a culture and people that have nothing to do with you(might as well stick with the European names if you're gonna do that) strikes me as idiotic.

My guess. Maybe the dame got her "October" from "Great October Socialist Revolution" of the USSR. I am also stretching that I think one dude's middle name, "Leon", could be for Leon Trotsky, its not his birthname.

Pooh, I have seen an old dread I used to know in ganjaland smoke a spliff the size of Miami and then go out and hoe yams in that hot tropical sun like it was nothing all afternoon. The really hardcore "Naya Bingy" dreads only ate uncooked food and fish and juice....almost zero bodyfat. They were a placid bunch but sort of hard to carry on much conversation with.
