See post #58 regarding taping of Jeb by 'stealth' reporter!

Who got the Gannet guy inside this special meeting?
Could he have a connection to McBride? Anyone got his name?

Than you and I shall bookmark this thread if I haven't already.

LOL! I thought you were inviting me to join you in a "bookmarking conspiracy!"

You are welcome. BTW: there may be a few ways around that statute, but I'm not going to post them here--THEY could be watching. I don't want to give aid and comfort to the enemy.

The st pete times just stated it was a legislator. Of course, it was a dem legislator. This was a set-up and since when can't any one of us talk in hypotheticals? I dare McB to use any portion of this tape in a tv or radio spot against Governor Bush.

That could be prosecutable and then what do we do? It looks like Florida is trying to take back the title of WORST, DEM CHEATING STATE from NJ. The legislator, the reporter and McBride should all get in trouble. The smoking guns are the secret invitation and the tape recording. They can't get out of this one.

McBride's been yapping about it all day on the radio. He's trying to draw Jeb out on his real stand on education. TOTALLY CARVILLE/MACAULIFFE playbook to put Gov. Bush on the spot.

This is VERY DIRTY... but Jeb doesn't have to answer to McB because then McB will feel in control. Who's in control of McB? The dem machine. All their candidates are robotic and are quite radical. There is nothing centrist about McB except his mushy tv commercials.

Who will listen to us or should we just contact the Bush/Brogan campaign because such a taping disenfranchised us and probably broke campaign laws too.

Exactly. Stating the obvious as we all have is different than helping the dems strategize their next move. The longer I am a member of Free Republic, the worse I type. Sad, but true.

Don't sweat it. Its the substance of what you say, not the form, that we appreciate.

Did you read the wonderful article about Jeb's older brother: Why he drives them crazy? Essentially it says the GW always stays above the DNC sewage, doesn't react to their slander with anger, but with a handshake and a focused new drive to follow through with his job.

The DNC has perfected the art of personal attacks, the kind of truly cruel (Biblically - bearing false witness) character slam that used to result in a duel at dawn. John Edwards won that way in N. Carolina, as did xxx42 and wife, as does the Judiciary Committee in the Senate. Remaining strong, yet honorable in the face of craftiness and deceit is a winning strategy. Jeb has a strong record and could turn the press on it's own lying head by changing the subject from their chosen agenda to his own real accomplishments and endorsements.

I keep e-mailing the Fla. papers the list of Jeb's endorsements, as well as McBride's real far left stance on issues. I don't expect most of them to stray from the DNC line, but there are some ethical journalists left who do care about this blatant DNC press fraud.

"They don't have a hammer any more than the owner of the Yankees baseball team has a hammer to have all the fans cheer at the same time. There is a group think among the left." .............."Intimidation. So much for the noble free press."

The 'leftist illuminati'? Should a member of the press have any inclination to deviate from the 'group-think', it would eliminate them from the superior intellectual stratum of which they perceive themselves to be part and subject them to ridicule and censure? For instance, this is the equivalent of being the only person booing in a Yankee crowd while everyone else is cheering.
High risk activity to say the least!

My initial thoughts were more elementary such as blackmail or a quid pro quo deal.

Either way, your words are good. "So much for the noble free press."

"IMHO No hammer is needed"

The confirmation of your opinion is in post #56. I liked Greeklawyer's statement, "So much for the noble free press".

O.K., the McBride-McAuliffe team is claiming that Jeb wants to subvert the "will of the people" by finding a way to stop the "class-size" (fraud) bill if the people (without being informed) vote for it in Nov. A few points:

1)Those who look into the "class-size" amendment, learn it's a bad idea.

Here's what the editors of Tampa Tribune (McBride's hometown paper) said about the "class-size" amendment: Voters Should Reject Costly Class-Size Amendment.

The Miami-Herald printed a major poll showing that voters support drops when they learn the cost of this deceptive amendment. Voters favor class-size plan -- but not cost, Sept. 29, Miami Herald.

2)McBride himself said that he plans on doing away with the high-speed rail amendment the voters already added to the state's constitution in 2000; a similarly foolhardy, expensive bill that the voters said "yes" to without knowing the details.

I'll find the link tomorrow, but clearly McBride has already stated publicly that he intends to subvert the "will of the people" by ignoring the already existing amendment to the Fla. state constitution the people put on the ballot and voted into state law.

You know, McBride/McAuliffe is now talking about issues (at least ammendments). You don't think JEB! let this set up occur to get him talking do you? Just a thought.

Hmmmm? Good question. I'm getting sick of the press's "Bush attacks.." "Bush criticized for comment..." McBride editorials posing as news from our mainstream press. I think we should do our own thread, "McBride Criticized for Comments"....and add the nasty personal attacks McBride's been making. McBride's John Edwards 2...a mean snake posing as a caring father.

You know what's meaner than any critical comment? Defrauding the Florida voters with the "class-size" bill. That's a meanspirited and expensive lie, from McBride and our Florida newsmedia.

Every statement of McBride/McAuliffe's "Plan" involves only a criticism of Governor Bush. I watched Bay News 9 One on One with McBride/McAuliffe for 30 minutes........nothing but criticism.

What is your plan for crime?..........Well, THIS governor....

What is your position on the environment......Well, THIS governor....

I'm just waiting to hear that THIS governor caused the potato rot responsible for the Irish famine in the 1800's!
Our children wail in the schoolyard hoping McBride/McAuliffe will hear and come save them. Can you tell that I've had my fill?

Ah, refreshing....just saw a JEB! commercial during the Bucs game. Now, HE has a plan!
