Oh yeah, and McCaffrey never ever lies! These "surveys" aren't worth the proverbial paper they're written on. Funny how this "new" survey just happened to be at the ready, LOL! Blackbird.

Among those who try marijuana at age 14 or younger, 8.9 percent become dependent on illicit drugs as adults. In contrast, of young people who try it at 18 or older, only 1.7 percent become addicted to other drugs later in life.
Roscoe, from your article, this survey shows much more,
if young people could not get MJ they would not use it, but use is up 28% in adults.
Something does not smell right with these results.
But it goes a long way to prove that if MJ were regulate like booze less people would use it.
Save the children regulate MJ like booze so kids, have a harder time getting it.

Pah-leeze. Government numbers are typically as phony as Clinton's golf score.

They say it's not working, so they need more money, then they say it's working, so they need more money!

Teen drug use was declining as of August 31, 2000, and is on the rise now; so Clinton/Reno were more effective than Bush/Ashcroft. How'd that happen?

From your link, an interesting stat among the rubbish:
In contrast, of young people who try it at 18 or older, only 1.7 percent become addicted to other drugs later in life.
Yes, we have the government publically admitting, albeit quietly, that their own "Marijuana use leads to hard drug use" myth is just that. Thanks for the link.

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Fewer U.S. teens are using drugs, the government said Thursday, citing a new survey. The results prove federal and other anti-drug efforts are working, officials said." I've got some REAL news for you Roscoe. Fewer US teens are stupid enough to ADMIT that they are using drugs when answering questions on a government survey.

anti-drug effort BUMP!
