In my novel, a leading character uses a scoped T/C Contender in .223.

She's a female on a motorcycle, and the LEOs are all looking for a guy with an AR-15 or Mini-14 rifle, so she slides right through.

A Contender in .223 would explain the evidence (except for casings, if any). But who would use a single-shot for this job?

A scoped Contender type was my first thought but if they're not too far off and the shooter is good even iron sights could work.
