I mean, "Death Race 2000" is old stuff.
It appears from reports that the victims were shot with a high powered round... so I am wondering if the truck sighting is even related to the shooter/s. I tend to think that the shooter was firing from a far-off location (probably on foot under cover of trees, shrubs, etc.), of which there are many in the areas where the shootings occurred. The pet cemetary area would have a good view of the Michaels store. Gate of Heaven cemetary area has a good sight distance from the Mobil. And Connecticut and Knowles area faces a big campus for some place (can't remember what). Rockville Pike Fitzgerald car dealership also has good target potential from a distance.
I just heard some Montgomery County Police spokesman say that their suspect would probably be someone who's a shooter. No kidding!?
I have tons of house work to do, so will have to rely on radio for news. Stay safe katya, and same goes for the kids and the Glaswegian.
First thing I said when I heard a description of the van was just what you said: skilled marksman using a scoped rifle on a bench.
The majority of people who have spoken to the press have said that they didn't hear the shot but reacted to the victims falling down. Some mentioned thinking the victims were having heart attacks.
Three counties have shut down all outside activities for the afternoon and evening. Schools were locked down all day. And the evening commute will be a nightmare with LEO pulling over all suspicious vehicles in the DC/Balto. region. Also there are reports of roadblocks and checkpoints.
The local government mouthpieces can call it what they want but the effect of the shootings is terror.
In addition a paramedic buddy says that at a certain point the first responders will not respond without an escort. Yet another intended consequence.

Conspiracy: More than one person involved....how the heck can a single assailant drive a van and shoot an accurate head shot at the same time.
Victims of all different races. Seems to rule it out as a racist crime. al Qaida makes no distinctions when it comes to Americans. These killers want the public to know that this is not a racist hit and run.
We are still at war. al Qaida has been preparing for this stuff. Johnny Jihad said the jihadi are already here in the US and their training includes these skilled shootings from a moving vehical in an urban sense
23 hours since the thing started and the feds from across the board are involved AND there is yet to be a physical description of the conspirators which will help in apprehension.
Heck, I'm wonderin' too. I'm not a professional 'profiler' but my gut tells me something I don't like.
