Yes, the sad thing is these random acts are near impossible to protect against. If you see the incidnet going down you have a slight chance, in these cases there was none. They could have been LEO's walking across the parking lot, they still would have been vulnerable. I just like to have a slight chance and being armed is that slight advantage over the rest of the citizens.

Takoma Park, MD has gone all out and even banned nuclear weapons in their fair city. At least the ragheads won't be targeting there! (/sarcasm off>)
Man, I for one would love to see the gun label idea done in this stinking leftist liberal pig pen state of Maryland! The first effect would be a state wide wave of wringing hands of teary eyed liberals! (From loss of power and knowing they would be targeted by the home invaders)

Someone did a county by county survey with the red and blue zones of the 2000 election and found that a person was 11 to 13 times more likely to be killed in the blue zone as the red. If anyone has a link to the survey, I would appreciate it.

At 7:41 am Thursday, a Hispanic male on a lawn mower was shot and killed near the 11,400-block of Rockville Pike.
Yikes! That is just up the road.

I'm sure the demoncrats will want MORE gun control laws!./i> Watch for Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (Demo candidate for MD Governor) to trumpet this event and bashing Bob Ehrlich (GOP candidate for MD governor) who has raised the question of what good have the gun laws done (one or two of the MD laws that have been around for years have resulted in NO arrests since the adoption of those laws). Now the question should be: why didn't our gun laws prevent these random murders?

Why don't you discuss outlawing "eggs" that were thrown at the 36 yr old male, who in turned "punched with his fist" a black youth, which cause the brutal murder of the 36 year old using weapons of, "shovels, cans, BABY STROLLER, LAWN CHAIR and stickes".
Your moronic co-worker probably has some "EXCUSE" for the black youths ,DAMN shame no one had a GUN to fire in the air to run those heathens off of that poor guy...and even a BIGGER DAMN SHAME a couple of the black YOUTHS weren't shot dead...
Guns are great TOOLS (like the shovel, baby stroller) when used PROPERLY!

They aren't saying how many shots are being fired just repeating, shot and killed, shot and killed, shot and killed, 5 times. No one shot and injured so whoever it is must be a good shot to apparantly drive by and shoot to kill. Poor souls. Prayers that they find the shooter soon.

They aren't saying how many shots are being fired... News reports I heard specifically said five shots, five killed. Referred to the shooter as "skilled", though the level of skill required for that, even with a .22 and iron sights, probably isn't all that great (reports didn't say what the distance was). Much beyond most gang-banger's abilities, but hunting (which is, of course, the only "politically-correct" reason to have guns) requires more skill.
