Help Forrester! Opposition Research on Lautenberg!!
Myself | October 2, 2002 | Miss Marple

Posted on 10/02/2002 3:32:12 PM PDT by Miss Marple

The purpose of this thread is to assemble research on Frank Lautenberg. If you have articles, links, personal testimony, or just some ideas on campaign issues, please post them here.

Remember, we are "citizens, not spectators!" Let's help Doug Forrester and defeat these slimeball Rat crooks!

Strategy ideas for working with the Greens and the Libertarians are also welcome, because they were dumped on, too!

Everyone is welcome! We have excellent researchers here and I know we can help!

By the way, New Jersey residents: Lautenberg's official papers are at Rutgers University! If you have some spare time, checking these out would be a good way to help!

Forrester's got a great team. He'll do fine. Already he's started referring to Lautenberg as the "Torricelli-Lautenberg Machine". You can bet that every ad that Forrester runs will have clips of Torch and Laut standing side by side. Before it's all said and done, Laut will have morphed into Torch.

Democrats think they are rid of Torch just because he's off the ballot, but Forrester will hang Torch around their neck all the way to election day. Lautenberg will not be able to create a separate identity.

I also like the idea of playing Lautenberg's comments upon resigning over and over again (making sure that Torch is seen at his side on the clip). Also hold Laut's feet to the fire and make him swear that he's not just running as a place holder and that if elected, he WILL serve.

So another side-effect of this perversion of the old law is that the new McCain law applies - and Lautenberg can escape the public criticism of organized groups like the NRA?

Why wouldn't McCain's new campaign "reforms" be relaxed here for this? They're only rules, after all.

If you have any information, please post it here!

Freepers are very resourceful, so it is likely something's going to come up... I'd recommend checking into Lautenberg's company ADP ~Automatic Data Processing. It's a HUGE company that's run into some tough financial times. Maybe something ENRON-ish??

Didn't the second half of the Torricelli-Lautenberg machine vote AGAINST Operation Desert Sheild/Desert Storm?

Yes, indeed! Voted against it, and no doubt whined to get the troops to quit afterwards. We need his comments during the debate!

I think the Republicans should now go nuclear on the Dems. Hit them with the NJ shenannigans in every state. Then make them go totally ballistic and question their patriotism. They hate this, but it is so true that they don't like America. Show Feinstein saying she's embarrased to wear a flag pin. Put up news clippings showing Dems who ordered not flying the flag because it isn't tolerant. Mention the Under God ruling.

Mention that the Buffalo terrorists were all democrats. Show Bill Clinton pardoning the Puerto Rican terrorists. Put the Baghdad three all over the tube. Put Daschle's rant in ads. It's time to play hardball and show the American people what these people really believe.

CFR doesn't go into effect until after the election. The NRA can blast away.

I started whistling the Godfather theme, and thought Lautenberg-NY-mobsters, and set Google on "Lautenberg Mafia" and here's a post linking the Russian mob to enactment of the Lautenberg Amendment in 1989, which allowed up to 50,000 Soviet refugees to enter the US each year. http://www.americanmafia.com/Feature_Articles_35.html

Here's an excerpt:
From about 1966 through the early 1980s, the Soviets jailed some 35 million people in prisons. An estimated 30 million inmates were tattooed. The inmates wore the tattoos only after they had committed a crime. The more convictions received, the more tattoos a convict would have. These tattoos give a picture of the inmate's criminal history. A prisoner wearing an unauthorized tattoo could be punished or killed by fellow inmates.

And how did we end up with such desperate characters in our midst? Many State Department experts believe that the former Soviet Secret Police, the KGB, dumped them on us by emptying their prisons of hard-core criminals, and supplying them with Visa's to America after the US Congress enacted the Lautenberg Amendment in 1989, which allowed up to 50,000 Soviet refugees to enter the US each year.

In a Senate hearing Senator Lautenberg made a snide remark to Senator Phil Gramm asking "if you're so smart, how come you're not rich?" To which Senator Gramm replied "If you're so rich, how come you're not smart."

There will not be a successfull appeal. It was a done deal. Just as lautenberg resigning in a year and the Torch being appointed to replace him is a done deal.

The court decision was a foregone conclusion. They knew how the court would rule before the Torch resigned. Does anyone really thing the Rats would take the risk of not having a candidate on the ballot at all?

I thought the bradley, the hispanic guy, follwed by on again off again Palone and then good old Frank Lautenberg was a great act. The suckers fell for it big time.

I am amazed by how naive the people are.

The question is how do they rehabilitate the Trorch to take the office again when Lautenberg retires again. I think the answer is to put him ont TV at lot. If the networks can put Stepinalotofit on TV to run this week why not the Torch be a special reporter CNN. FOX just hired newt. Would CNN hire the Torch. he doen't need to do a lot, just enough to change the perception that he is a crook.

No one beleives me when I say Lautenberg will step down in a year when torch will get his job back. No one has apparently ever watched any football. The team is way behind in the 3rd quarter, so they bring in the aging star to replace the failing quarter back. The old man rallies the team to victory.. But next game the young quarterback is back in the lineup as starter.

That is what the Torch got. He just got pulled in the middle of one election. He will be starting again within a year. It will be fun to watch the rehabilitation of the torch. It should be a msterpiece.

When the media destroys a Democrat they suffer post partum remorse... They wil have to give the torch his reputation back... now won't they.

Betcha 50 bucks with in a year there will be story after story of how the REPUBLICAN brought the torch down with trumped up charges that were never actually brought against the torch. And yet the torch is not bitter. He gave up all for his party... When he had never ever been convicted of anything... What a great replacement such a caring man with make for the ailing Frank Lautenberg when his heath and age force him to retire.

They say there is one born ever minute. But I think it occurs a lot more frequently than that.
