Where in the law, where in the Constitution, does it say we have to have a two-party system? And where does it say that one of those parties has to be the Democrat Party?

Does this mean that Walter Mondale should have dropped out in October and let someone else take his place? What's the difference between losing and losing big? Is it now the law that if you are losing big it is not in the interest of voters?

Does this mean that the only fair elections are those that end up 52-48, or 55-45? Are potential landslides now being outlawed?
