Yikes looks like its moving north! even slighly east of due north the past 1/2 hour......I pray this is a just a jog otherwisw NO is in deep trouble. but it also looks like the COD is shrinking some

To get the full effect, a hurricane needs to be at least Cat 3 and come from the ESE (moving WNW) where it can cause the lake to pour over the wall into the city (kind of like a bowl filling up with water). Still, even a direct shot from the south could be bad, but NO sits a bit "inland" from the due south.
