I don't now why, but they seem to weaken VERY quickly when they hit Louisiana (Maybe the large forests?).

What do you estimate the winds to be there now?

The storm is really weakening fast! I'm glad; I had visions of New Orleans being destroyed with buildings crashing over and stuff. Glad things aren't so bad after all! The land of my loved ones will remain intact! At least this time anyway. Uncle Sham, you are a hoot. Very typical of people from that area. It's a big reason I like it so much. I went to a family reunion some years ago and met a bunch of relatives, cousins of my father and so on; those people were a real scream! They are so funny and warm and friendly.
