This new projected landfall is probably hardest on Delcambre, Erath, and Abbeville. We are somewhat protected by Avery Island (over 200' elev.) while they aren't.

That's interesting, I was just looking at a topo map of Avery Island. What's a hill like that doing in that part of LA?
