Wrong approach -- What the minor parties ought to do is seize this opportunity and replace all of their nominees with Doug Forrester. NY allows the same name on multiple party lines does New Jersey allow it too?
To: Jimer
And where is Phil Beck? He destroyed the DEM witnesses in Florida.I don't remember him. Wasn't there someone named Clock who argued on behalf of Katherine Harris? He was good. I'm not sure of his name, but I remember clock because at the time I thought that he cleaned the dems' clock and that there was some sort of play on words there.

Makes perfect sense, except for one point. You need to remember we're talking about Rats, the folks who don't even know how to punch a chad. What makes you think they'd know how to write in a name. I saw this on FOX the Democrats could print up stickers for the D's to put on the paper ballots for a write in. Now half the voting machines are electronic so on those machines they'd have to write in the name, stickers won't work on those machines.
To: scannell
I suspect you'll be seen through.

LATE UPDATE
According to my sources the NJ Supreme Court decision is not a done deal (as far as the Democrats are concerned). Word is that if this attempt to put Lautenberg on the ballot fails, then Torricelli is going to resign and McGreevey is going to name Lautenberg as his replacement.
The next major court battle is going to be over whether McGreevey can schedule a special election after November 5th.

New Jersey is even worse. With the exception of Federal officeholders, New Jersey is one of the few states that allows people to hold two different public offices.

LOL!!

I'm trying to figure that out myself. I had to go babysit...and they do NOT have extended cable. I'm rethinking my babysitting policies.....LOL.

Either that, or having dropped out, the Democheat runner up in the primary becomes the Dem candidate. At least some of the voters voted for him/her!
To: Alberta's Child
i think that would be political suicide for mcgreevy. voters in nj don't tend to have short memories. they kicked out florio after he raised every damn tax in the state in his first year.

Any questions where his allegiances are?

Say, she's got a lot of nerve, celebrating her anniversary on a day of big Breaking News......LOL.
To: FlaFreedom
If this goes to the USSC, you can bet he'll represent the government.
To: Alberta's Child
Will the Dems pay Torch the pension he won't be getting till age 60 if he resigns now?
To: tomkat
It's enough to make you weep, isn't it?
To: alnick
I don't remember him....Beck is the lawyer from Chicago who destroyed the two Dem statistician witnesses.
To: SternTrek
Voters in New Jersey have very short memories, until their wallets get involved.
To: alnick
...And where is Phil Beck? He destroyed the DEM witnesses in Florida. I don't remember him. Blasphemy.....Mr. Beck was the lawyer that made the statistics expert for the dems look like an idiot. And he wore a yellow tie...He was in Judge Samuel Sauls court. (Dumb like a fox..)

Well the basic problem with the Torch is that the polls all indicated that the percentage of defeat was too great to make up by fraud and vote stealing. Now if L'Berg can close that to about 2-3% then the corrupt demo machine in NJ will be able to pull out a victory thru fraud and vote stealing.
It's really as simple as that. This is the reason they must replace the torch with another demo name on the ballot.
Hopefully, L'berg will poll poorly and not be able to close that gap, but that is highly unlikely, since the Forrester demo's will return to the fold.
To: aristeides
Torricelli doesn't need a pension. That Chang guy already paid it for him.
