Campaigns and county parties are always looking for a helping hand. No matter what your talents, where your interests lie, or how busy your schedule is, there's important work for you to do.
You can contribute to the Party to help us get our message out. You can volunteer time to the Party to help us get out the vote. You can register to vote, to ensure the longetivity of the Republican Party.
There are always opportunities to talk about the Republican Party and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
The Republican Party cannot function without volunteers. Volunteers are the engines of the grassroots machine.

Please go easy on me, as this is only my 2nd thread.
This afternoon, I spoke with Carrie Cwynar, a Regional Field Director for the Republican Party of Florida. She informed me of numerous opportunities for folks wanting to volunteer right now for this year's FL election.
I specifically want to mention a comment she made to me; that there are many vacant volunteer positions that need to be filled statewide for the November 5th election. The volunteer position would be one of a "Poll Watcher." She said, that in Palm Beach County alone, approximately 80% of the Poll Watcher positions still need to be filled! I immediately thought of all the FL FReepers!
Hope I did this correctly, and didn't violate any protocol here.
Carrie is expecting to hear from those of you who can assist the RPOF in Palm Beach County, @ ccwynar@rpof.org. Or, if you prefer, you can contact the RPOF through their website, in the volunteer section. Those wishing to volunteer, and residing in *all other* FL counties, should use the www.rpof.org website to contact them.
Thanks guys!

Hope I did this correctly, and didn't violate any protocol here. Not at all. This is what we need to know. Thanks! It's even appropriate to bump your thread every day until election day.(^:McBride

Both counties went for algore in 2000 and are colored blue on the Bush Country Map! Any blue county needs Poll Watchers!!!

EXCELLENT! Who better than FL FReepers keeping watch?! We don't need a three-peat!!

Good work- it may be tough filling the poll watcher posts- I believe you're supposed to be a voter in the precinct to be eligible- but since there are so few Republicans they may make an exception.
Eagle eyes wanted! Keep'em honest!

I joked with Carrie about the poll worker placements, mentioning something about it being a looong drive to Pensacola from PBC. lol!
I think she said that assignments were made within the county lines, and that they would try to place everyone as close to their own precinct as possible.
I'll have to check on that. :)

Good- with the former deputy supervisor running the actual election, it should be much better. He knows the law requires the poll workers to represent ALL the parties on the ballot- unlike Mzzzz.Oliphant, who "interpreted" it to mean gender and ethnic representation.
I volunteered in my county- but I'd rather be over there with you guys.

I am already a poll watcher for my precinct here in Pinellas County. This is an important job, and IMOHO at the very least, it is a simple job just to insure that the voting process is going right.
Also realize that unlike poll workers, you do not have to spend the entire day at the poll. Personally, I normally am the first one to vote in my precinct in the morning. I stay there a little while, then I leave to go to work. During the day I return at least twice to check the precinct and I have never had any problems with any of the poll workers at any time.

Great info!!! Your post certainly adds to my motivation to ensure some election integrity down here!!
No doubt, the Democrat Cogs in the FL Election Machine have been greasing themselves already in preparation!

There is one more thing I should say. Because of the redistricting of Florida (due to the 2000 Census), there are alot of new and revamped precincts and districts.
I strongly urge any and all Republicans, be it in my own Pinellas County or other Counties in Florida to join there County Republican Party Executive Committee. This will help you get more information to give to others to properly vote, and believe me, it gives you a good feeling of accomplishment in helping further our cause.
