OK. Forrester suddenly gets ill and we run Rudy Guiliani.
I have had it with the Rats. You can't even run a decent campaign because they change the candidates and the rules.

Judge also said that the NJ governor CANNOT cancel a Federal election - it will go to the US supreme court- Advantage Republicans

Perhaps I'm too impatient -- but the conference was supposed to have started by now. I figure the additional delay is lawyer-stuff and political maneuvering. Is there anything local about when it'll actually occur now?

My dream is that Torch is pissed at being forced out by the 'Rat Elite and goes down in flames, spewing the dirt he knows about his fellow Dems.
To: Miss Marple
Looks about to start.

...back monitoring Fox News. Carl Cameron states the Torch will essentially "annoint" his replacement.

That's what I was thinking. hillary's favorate quote, turtles just don't appear on fence posts without someone putting it there.
We all know that no one makes a move without the head DNC folk strategizing first.

If they are hoping for Dem voter outrage over this issue, I think they are mis-reading the Conservative backlash outrage. I hope you are wrong.
I see this as a sign of true RAT desparation-- the poll numbers for keeping the Senate must be in the swirling phase of the flush.
To: Babsig
"Advantage Republicans" Possiblky Possibly BUT, the Dems Will Scream Bloody Murder about a Supreme Court Challenge Harkening back to the FloriDUH Debacle!
To: ChadGore
Why does the DNC lust for power OVER the people instead of power OF, BY and FOR the people ? ? ? Who cares what the reason is? It's the fact that they do it that matters. They are evil and must be stopped.
To: Babsig; Dog
Torricelli "may come very close to announting a successor" per Fox News???!!
Dog, you've got a job to do....you and your fellow New Jersey voters!!

Sorry if this has been stated before - just got home from hubby cataract surgery: So if I'm in an election and KNOW I'm going to lose, I can resign and let my party's Governor appoint someone to take my place for 2 years and there is no election? That's not a democracy - that's a dictatorship. Tell me this isn't true.

Did he say what gives the incumbent the automatic right to be on the ballot? Mayor Tony Williams here in D.C. had to mount a write-in campaign in the Dem primary because he was kicked off the ballot for not complying with the election laws. No, he simply said it as though it is fact. As an appointed replacement, the new guy would automatically gain incumbancy and be put on ballot (which seems like BS to me!)
