LOL! Didn't Rudy buy a place in NJ when his mayoral term was up, or am I thinking about office space?

I guarantee that the Torch is not leaving for the love of his party. He's leaving because he was guaranteed something in return; probably from Babs.

Good question. Short answer -- I don't know, but would think renting and voter registration would be enough.

MSNBC... per Lisa Meyers ....confused and fluid situation...Torch would resign if they would come up with a replacement... Menendez not interested and Torch and Laughtenberg(sp) never liked each other so not much chance Torch would resign for him...I am typing this while listening...

"Nothing that we don't already know about them (that they're power-mad crooks)."

We need to make a campaign issue out of how the Dems protected their crook from NJ.

I am certain that any New Jersey freepeer would be willing to swear they have been renting a room to Rudy since January.

Rudy's been living in my basement in Jersey since January! He needed a place to go after Gracie Mansion. A right aggreeable house guest he is, too.

That harpie, Donna Hanover, is a problem, though. She's always waking the nieghbors screaming at the top of her lungs on my front lawn at 2:00 AM, drunk and in her underwear.

Carl Cameron says that press conference will be at 4 at NJ statehouse with McGreevey. Considering pulling out of the race, and maybe even resigning. Unheard of for Rat candidate to be trailing by this much. Carl detailing the scandal.

Torch has had conversations all morning with McGreevey. Legal problems. Rat lawyers believe appointed candidate would serve until end of year. Then a special election would be called.

IMHO, this is what they are going for. Bradley, Lauchtenburg, Palone named as possible replacements.

Carl says any Rat would win if it isn't Torricelli.

NJ State Law.19:3-26. Vacancies in United States senate; election to fill; temporary appointment by governor If a vacancy shall happen in the representation of this state in the United States senate, it shall be filled at the general election next succeeding the happening thereof, unless such vacancy shall happen within thirty days next preceding such election, in which case it shall be filled by election at the second succeeding general election, unless the governor of this state shall deem it advisable to call a special election therefor, which he is authorized hereby to do. The governor of this state may make a temporary appointment of a senator of the United States from this state whenever a vacancy shall occur by reason of any cause other than the expiration of the term; and such appointee shall serve as such senator until a special election or general election shall have been held pursuant to law and the board of state canvassers can deliver to his successor a certificate of election.

So the NJ Gov appoints Bradley (or whomever). 30 Oct 2004, Bradley resigns and is replaced by Bon Jovi. 30 Oct 2006, Bon Jovi resigns and is replaced by Tony Soprano. And on and on and on.... If this is really the NJ law, it is blatantly unconstitutional.

How crooked is Frank Lauchtenburg (or however you spell it)? Could we get him on something right after he accepts the nomination?

As you can see, I am working hard to take back the Senate!!
