Maybe you could do what owners of small convenient stores do to keep the young hang outs away. If they party into the night, then they must sleep late. Starting at 7:30 in the morning, play Frank Sinatra out your window towards the rented home. Tom Jones would do it too. Keep this up until they leave.

"Pelo" means hair so I think Pelon would mean hairy. That explains someone bald being called pelon. I think from the way it's used around here it means criminal types ---there seems to be more violent types in Albuquerque for some reason than in other places.

The shaved head nickname MIGHT have something to do with the practice of captured illegal males having their heads shaved to make repeat offenders easier for the border guards to identify.

Stolar, good for you that you finally put your foot down. Squatters don't understand "hints". If your wife is angry, it might be because she fears her mother and/or she was using these extra people as a buffer between the two of you rather than facing any personal problems the two of you might be having.

Eleanor Roosevelt's famous quote, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" has evolved over the years into "nobody can take advantage of you without your permission". I think the alteration can be attributed to Ann Landers, but it is absolutely true.

This is another reason why I love Free Republic....

Freepers really help each other out, and have so much experience and expertise - it's great we can tap into it when we're frustrated and really need help!

I've read some great advice on this thread for you and alot of people who might have tenant problems - and I am sure you will solve this problem with the plan you can now make to get rid of these terrible people.

You're well on your way to a happier and safer life for you and your family! I know how consuming this must be for you and it's time you take back your life from these creeps!

Good Luck, Take Care and prayers said....and keep us updated ! :)

Sweet: In California (and I would assume everywhere) you can LEGALLY evict someone to put in a relative!

Get some relative to move in there cheap! Your MIL or FIL..just do it...or YOU move in there.

It will also take a while (maybe a year) off the market, but there ya go.

Next time, SCREEN people yourself. Do NOT accept any Section 8 voucher people. Meet them, CALL THEIR EMPLOYERS, etc.

Good luck.

Call a note factoring co. and sell your note....
or sell the place. First start some kind of eviction or legal process now. If you did'nt have them sign a (good) lease/rental agreement you must sue on some other technicality. If you plan on keeping the place. You
better enroll in some rental survival course of some
kind. This is NOT a rare event. Bottom line DO SOMETHING.
This won't go away...
