Just heard on Fox News that they will be airing comments by Rep. McDermott (D-WA) that GWB will mislead the american people to attack Iraq. He said this while he is in Iraq!
Would you believe it's all right if we wipe out the populace of Wisconsin and Mississippi arbitrarily, and you just sit there and not lift a finger?
That is why their military is kept out of those zones!
Oh, I apologize.
You might have been in pre-school then with a reason to be unaware, or worried about acne.
You need to call Art Bell and talk to him. This Skull & Bones fear you have is right up his alley.
As for "Global Tyranny", you may not be around long enough to see it. If you had your head on straight, your more immediate concern would be something like this:
Yet, I don't think that Iraq would use them, as they'd be destroyed, and they most likely know it.
You're counting on Saddam Hussein's rationality. Now there's a good idea. [Sarcasm.]
Really, kid - call Art Bell. I'm tired of trying to reason with you.
No one cares what YOU think . You have your own, rather peculiar, version of things and that's all that you base your opinions on ; NOT facts or history or law, or the Constitution. No matter how many times you care to post the same drivel ( and it IS drivel ! ), that doesn't make you correct. More than 1/2 the time, what you post, is LIBERAL / GREENIE propaganda. Yet, you imagine that you are a Conservative. Rethink your positions, learn more facts, and then , perhaps you can come to some reasoned conclusions, which you can support.
Why don't you figure out, why we don't " pull out " of other countries. Your too old, physically to be spoon fed info.
Oh yes, and one of the world's largest tinfoil hat collections. :-)
However, that's why I think that we should stay out of these conflicts. They only get us into trouble. The Kurds situation was before the Gulf War, if I can remember correctly.
Let's admit it that the US is an Empire. We've got military bases all over the world, flex our muscles wherever there is a conflict, dish out our own citizens money for poor countries, and we need to go back to Constitutional government and return to the Republic.
I don't listen to that kook.
You just closed your own case to the detriment of your own arguments.
You're concerned about events that might take place "ten to twenty years down the road".
The next terrorist attack WILL NOT be ten to twenty years down the road!
It could happen in the next five minutes, but it's a sure bet that it won't wait ten to twenty years!
Ask the people who had to jump off of the 104th floor of the WTC which would be their greatest concern!
Ask the people who crashed the plane in Pennsylvania or into the Pentagon what we should be concerned about!
The danger is real, and the danger is NOW!!
Deal with it!
Yep - all of 25 years old would make you in your teens then - with acne!
However, I will say that I do not feel a threat from Iraq. I'm not going to have myself constantly worried. I do wish to speak out against anti-globalist forces.
However, perhaps I shouldn't say anything at all, because what's going to happen is going to happen, and a one world government will be hear one day. It doesn't look like it is too far away in the relative scope of things.
Answer me the following : 1) Does the U.S.A. rule ( I hope you understand the meaning of that word ! )the nations it has subdued and / or helped ? 2) Does it make their laws and enfore them ? 3) Do we TAX those countries ?
Now, listen ( read ) carefully, and repeat after me : " I WILL NOT BELIEVE EVERY SINGLE NEGATIVE THING, THAT I HAVE EVER READ OR HEARD ABOUT THE U.S.A. FROM PEOPLE, WHO HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDAS.
BTW, Saddam had the Kurds killed before, during and after the Gulf War. He has has a reign of unbelieveable terror. He had a " hit " put out on one of his own sons ( the hit men were sloppy and that son isn't dead; just paralized ) and had his son-in-laws killed. He doesn't care WHO he murders. We and a coalition, went into the Gulf War to stop Saddam from invading another sovereign nation ... Kuwait. We were ASKED to do so. We won the war. There were certain stipulations, which Saddam has totally IGNORED, in the peace treaty. Ergo, logically deduced, we are STILL at war with Iraq.
Facts matter ; NOT < your " feelings ", based on little to no info.
You damn right we're an empire, and the GREATEST empire this world has ever seen!
This wasn't handed to us; we worked our butts off to build it, and we shed a lot of blood to keep it!
It's time we stood up in the world and said to all of them:
"We're the baddest dudes on the block, and we will do what we think is best for our country!"
I've had it with bleeding heart liberals who think we should not take advantage of our position in the world.
WE EARNED IT!
I also hope that you realize that US foreign policy is in direct contradiction to what this country was founded on.
That sounds exactly the way a bully on the block would speak.
You are talking with one who was a child in WWII and a U.S. Marine during the Korean Conflict, and part of the Vietnam War as well.
Extending what YOU THINK, I suppose you think we should have ignored Hitler and Germany - Mussolini in Italy - and Hirohito in Japan and hid our heads in the sand until they took over two continents and then came for US???
Pearl Harbor WAS our land, with the West Coast next - and my father saw more than one German submarine in Biscayne Bay in Miami.
Now and then, Germnans landed in small boats on shores farther up the shore in Florida.
Now they can all stay home and fire missiles to ANY part of the U.S.!!
Or do you not know your own vulnerability sitting there in Texas, so smug?
Wake up to the fact CHINA has the two bases at either end of the Panama Canal we had to turn over when our lease was up.
They have 'shipping' companies - no doubt cover for missile setups, as well as in Cuba - all three within reach of YOUR abode!
Wake up to the evil in the world, and quit cowering in your little 'safe' bunker.
What is wrong with being a bully on the block?
We have earned that right!
If we were actually the bully on the block we would have flattened Afghanistan on September 12.
And we wouldn't be talking about having to invade Iraq because Saddam would know that we would do the same to Baghdad!
He would have rolled out the red carpet on September 13th.
