That was exactly my point -- IF this movement by the media is a sign that war is imminent, then they are clearly privy to some information that is not readily available to John Q. Citizen.

They are privvy to sources of information. That's why they're referred to as "informed sources."

So let me get this straight . . .

The U.S. is going to wage a war against Iraq because Saddam Hussein is an evil jerk who has been developing "weapons of mass destruction" for the last decade. And yet representatives in the U.S. media are now booking hotel rooms in Baghdad and securing bunks at U.S. military facilities throughout the Middle East, in anticipation of this so-called "war."

Am I the only one who thinks there is something wrong with this picture?
