Panic over knowledge that the war is coming early could explain the Dems' erratic behavior this past week.

Saddam, a king without a kindom, will surrender soon after. Game over.If it were that simple.
My feeling is that Saddam is to meglomaniacal to go that route. He strikes me as more the, "I'm gonna die anyway, I might as well take you with me" type of guy...

It's true that you can't get ready to wage a war without the
news networks knowing. Even if the exact strike date is a closely guarded secret, the number of people in the government who know it's 'close' has got to be in the thousands.
There are plenty of leftover Clinton bureaucrats who pass everything that crosses their desks on to the liberal networks. We've seen it happen time and time again.
The only thing different about this 'leak' is that Rice will have been on the phone to them asking them to withhold reporting until it starts (like she did before the Afghanistan strike). Of course, the networks start to put their people in place for the coverage and the liberal ones start their shrill anti-war screaming which tips us all off that an attack is imminent without them having to say so.

Wonder how they'll broadcast after all the electronic devices in the region are fried. I expect the first news of the war to be that all contact with Baghdad has been lost.
Exactly.

Every reply here is forgetting one thing:
When this war starts, the
*&%@%#@ is going to hit the fan because Saddam WILL send either chem or bio on a warhead into Israel.............what follows is unknown.
To: MusicDude_Rep

He strikes me as more the, "I'm gonna die anyway, I might as well take you with me" type of guy...My guess is he'll take the villa in Algiers over personal annihilation. But, you're correct that we can't count on that. The stakes are way too high for that. That is why we won't be confronting Saddam in Baghdad any time soon. Wouldn't be prudent. That will be left for the end of the campaign, once we are ready on the home front.

Arent you the same guy that said an ancient power plant is hidden inside the Giza Pyramid?
Or at least you believe it is possible?
To: aristeides
indeed, it was the one thing that made sense out their actions....they were already trumpted.....this was the voice of losing
To: The Wizard
"
I called the attack in Afgahnistan based on the same stuff and scooped everyone......"
Sorry to doubt you but do you have a link to the post where you scooped everyone?
To: The Wizard
Churchill and Bush the Elder both won their wars and look what happened to them! Churchill jokingly said that the public awarded him "The Order of the Boot". Once the war is won, the sheeple will want their free pills and other assorted subsidies.

I am the guy who pointed out a book that explains the pyramid is a harmonic generator, not that one is hidden inside it.

Thanks, I missed that thread. I once read that if you keep a razor under a pyramid it never goes dull. Maybe The Wiz is on to something.

So let me get this straight . . .
The U.S. is going to wage a war against Iraq because Saddam Hussein is an evil jerk who has been developing "weapons of mass destruction" for the last decade. And yet representatives in the U.S. media are now booking hotel rooms in Baghdad and securing bunks at U.S. military facilities throughout the Middle East, in anticipation of this so-called "war."
Am I the only one who thinks there is something wrong with this picture?

"
harmonic generator"
So it makes a melody?
Anyway...how'bout that "I called Afghanistan" scoop link.

Am I the only one who thinks there is something wrong with this picture?Something wrong? No, you're not the only one. But this is the reality in the ratings-driven world of television news.
Remember - CBS News has already staked out a strategic rooftop across from St. Peter's Square (and has had a huge deposit on it for the better part of the last decade) for when Pope John Paul dies and the period until a new pontiff is selected by the College of Cardinals.
'Tis a strange business, but it is business as usual for them.

1. I do not require your consent or approval to make something true....life handles that, and
2. I could care less whether you belive it or not. You have the opportunity to express yourself here as have I, so enjoy

Thanks for the correction.
