Teddy Kennedy on Fox News arguing against war
Fox News | 9-27-02 | Teddy Kennedy

Posted on 09/27/2002 8:15:41 AM PDT by bonesmccoy

Teddy Kennedy is arguing against military intervention in Iraq. These words transcribed as he speaks... "As I said earlier, we still don't know the fate, location, or operational capacity of Osama Bin Ladin but we do know that Al Queda is still there and here. But, we don't know when where or how this will happen. CIA director has testified that Al Queda remains a serious threat to our country... even if the Taliban out of power.. Afghanistan is still fragile... our reconstruction effort is halting and inadequate...

Some operatives have faded into the woodwork...Karzai is still struggling... Pakistan is far from certain...

United Nations is far from convinced

I think Kennedy is just pandering to the base of the Democratic party. They cannot stop this train. Problem is, the more this debate goes on, the more political trouble they encounter.

Now if the damned market and the economy would just give us a break for the next 3 weeks...

"Their polling data must be devastating!" :You got it!
I forget who the guy was filling in for Rush today, but he was great! Several pro-Bush Arabs called in, including a couple of Iraqis. They played a tape of a JFK speech that will be devistating to the Demos....if the Repubs will start playing it on Radio/tv.
At the end of the program it was announced that "The polls show that, if the election were held today, the Republicans would take control of both the House and the Senate". No wonder the Demos are in "melt-down"!!!1

I just got this in my email. Sounds like the peacemakers and demos. have gotton to Bush.

Bush 'willing to give peace (and U.N.) a chance' with Iraq

Just before his scheduled visit to Arizona, President Bush said Friday that the United Nations should be given a chance to force Saddam Hussein to give up his weapons before the United States and its allies act on their own to disarm him. ''I'm willing to give peace a chance to work,'' Bush said.

Updates on Bush's visit to Arizona and a live video feed starting at 1:30 p.m. will be available on azcentral.com

As I said on the other thread, when the next attack comes, remember it is the Democrats who are leading the charge FOR them.

Somebody needs to ask the Democrats, "If it takes absolute proof before you're willing to act, then which city are you willing to risk? Go ahead, name it. What city does your mother live in? Will that one be safe? What should I tell my mother? If you're unwilling to tell me what you're willing to risk, then you're not adding any value to the discussion."

What SIDE are these Fellows On?!

EX PRESIDENT Bill Clinton was on the Today show giving advice that America do whatever the UN decides!

While, Sen. Ted Kennedy warned President Bush today that he has not made the case for attacking Iraq. "I do not accept the idea that trying other alternatives is either futile or perilous, that the risks of waiting are greater than the risk of war," !

WIMPS!!!!!! (or shall I say, TRAITORS!)

The RISK of WAR?

What about the RISK of DEMOCRATS in POWER in the Senate and House!

Please America! VOTE STRAIGHT TICKET GOP in NOVEMBER!

The RISK is just too Great to allow these FRAUDS to continue to undermine the SAFETY and integrity of our Nation!

Kennedy and Clinton are both rolling in MILLIONS of dollars for their security, but all WE have is the Constitution and Liberty!

Don't let them take it away by swearing allegence to the United Nations or to any "Peace at any price" ideology!

America. Land of the FREE and the BRAVE!!!

I hear your heart and soul Joy. But liberalism is rampant in our country....we see this all the time in close elections. The Dems are all jumping on the wagon now....I have had mixed feelings about Iraq....not the typical ones though....but I think we won't go into Iraq now until the next terror attack on Americans....Americans have extremely short memories.

God Bless America

(we need it)

Movies, you say??
That must mean Rob Reiner and Babs Streisand are advising Teddy, too. Gore and Gephardt are jealous, no doubt.

Thank you SolomonSemperFi. The liberals aren't really in control, but they act as if they are. From Jesse Jackson threatening Corporations with Racism to collect Pay-Backs to the DNC pushing for power in hopes of electing Hillary Rodham the Next President of the United States, we are indeed under assault!

I see this recent Democrat Anti-Iraq ploy as political posturing. They are frantic to stop the GOP from gaining majority control, and so they are accusing President Bush of what they are doing!

I am not 100% in favor of going to war, but if our President has evidence that Iraq is a threat, then we have to trust him. How dare the Democrats, especially Hillary wave Headlines of BUSH KNEW after 9-11, yet NOW she is spitting nails to try to stop Bush from taking acton against Iraq!?

The American Public must be very confused! And if this leads to apathy on Election Day....God Help Us!

"What is going on!!!!!!"

Things are progressing exactly as planned.

Hillary will run in 2004 I am now positive.

The dem strategy meeting took place just prior to Daschle's melt down and the day after Gore made an idiot of himself in SF.

Every single dem that expressed the possibility of running in 2004 has been led off the cliff with the exception of Lieberman.

Gephardt - Old news of his questionable loans from McAuliffe's questionable bank, and his rental property and the tax evasion that went on.

Sharpton - Any accident that FBI tapes from eon's ago just happened to be brought front and center showing him participating in a possible drug deal?

Kerry - Hasn't his Vietnam service been called into question. Something about a slaughter of civilians at his direction.

Edwards - Was grilled by Tim Russert on MTP. Since when does Russert grill dems? He was pronounced not ready for prime time. Froze like a deer in the headlights at the simplest of questions.

Daschle - Has obstructed, quite obviously. And since that tune wasn't playing loudly enough, the dem strategy meeting has him call in the press so that there is plenty of documentation of his melt-down. He's toast.

Gore - Decided to test out yet another personality in SF. Obviously did not play well to the majority of Americans and even the more moderate dems are giving him a wide berth.

Lieberman - Expect Rubin to be called to testify on Citigroup and their role in the Enron collapse via some questionable loans that were apparantly not exactly "on the books". Citigroup is Lieberman's largest campaign contributor.

So who's left standing? Hillary! She will have to break her "promise" to the people of NY because her party will call her to serve.

Today, even Clinton distanced himself somewhat from the Daschle/Gore ideology. While not exactly a hawk, did say that we shouldn't back down on the war on terror and there shouldn't be politics being played. As I said, everything is going exactly as planned. There can be no doubt as to who is still the head of the DNC. It's Bill Clinton, even though not officially.

We should be very afraid.

Howlin, what gets me is that if we were attacked tomorrow and it all led to Saddam being behind it, the dems would then say that we waited too long to do something. The Bush administration was asleep at the switch and it was there fault that americans were killed.

"Ted Kennedy is a good man."
George Dubya Bush

Bush said that when he signed the biggest expansion of the DOE in history. Does Bush still believe that Kennedy is "a good man?"

Flame away, Bushies!

Here it is Phil.

From the 1961 inaugural address of John F. Kennedy: "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay
any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success
of liberty."

Heard on Fox News that he gave the U.N. 7 days and Blair is in agreement.

Bush is not being weak. He's doing what he needs. Moreover, he's letting people like us do our jobs too. And, believe me, that's a welcome change after being handcuffed by the Democrats for the past 10 years.
