Teddy Kennedy on Fox News arguing against war
Fox News | 9-27-02 | Teddy Kennedy

Posted on 09/27/2002 8:15:41 AM PDT by bonesmccoy

Teddy Kennedy is arguing against military intervention in Iraq. These words transcribed as he speaks... "As I said earlier, we still don't know the fate, location, or operational capacity of Osama Bin Ladin but we do know that Al Queda is still there and here. But, we don't know when where or how this will happen. CIA director has testified that Al Queda remains a serious threat to our country... even if the Taliban out of power.. Afghanistan is still fragile... our reconstruction effort is halting and inadequate...

Some operatives have faded into the woodwork...Karzai is still struggling... Pakistan is far from certain...

United Nations is far from convinced

Ted Kennedy says, "I am not convinced Iraq has made any progress towards nuclear weapons"

"And does anybody here remember where I parked the Olds?"

No one that has any honesty, common sense, and a sense of history can take Edward seriously.

I have listened too and read the entire Kennedy speech and have broken it down to its elemental meaning.

Translation as follows:

Ted Kennedy: We shouldn't attack Saddam because we are not sure he has WMD's. Further, we should not attack Saddam if he does have WMDs because he might use them.

The Main Reason we should not Attack Saddam is because I will lose my cushy Committee assignment because the evil Republicans will win back the Senate and they will get Judges appointed without the Democrats to obstruct err I mean ahh advise the President on the process.

Oh, my..how funny. He really IS wearing pants!

During the course of his career, he has ardently supported every opportunity possible to swell our nation with the likes of Atta and his cohorts.

He also slipped some nasty pro-mass immigration language into the senate version of the homeland security bill, language which is counterproductive to the purpose of the bill (to protect american citizens), but which supports his agenda.

We can take action by faxing and telephoning our senators with a request that they strip kennedy's pro-immigration lamguage from the bill -but we must do it now:

I had to turn Off FOX, I really can't stand Ted and his merry band of fools. The words cogent rational discussion do not belong in the same sentence with the word Democrat.

They don't give a rat's rear about the Amercan people.

I'm wndering also .. can the poll numbers be so low that the are commiting political suicide like this??

It's probably related to what Roger Hedgecock on Rush was saying a few minutes ago.

He said that the Missouri Senate race shows the repub Talent pulling ahead of the widder Carnahan, and the Senate will immediately become repub majority if Talent gets it.

He would take over the seat the day after the election, due to the circumstances of Carnahan's taking it when her husband died. So the dims are just desperate now.

Gee, he must have access to privileged information that even the President hasn't seen yet.

#157, CedarDave, has it right. Their
leftist base voters will be turned off
in Nov. UNLESS the leading Dems go off
on Bush. They must fire up this group.
Don't be misled that Dems need to help
the Pres. for politial survival. Their
base voters are demanding they stop
him OR ELSE

Dear God in Heaven, I pray that the American people see through this

I hate to tell you this but about 40% won't!!!

Another 40% will care (the good news)!

The remaining 20% are in DC, or don't know their own names and don't care if they do and are completely in the dark when asked where were you on Nine-Eleven?

"Dear God in Heaven, I pray that the American people see through this."

Pray harder. At least 40% are too stupid to see through Ted Kennedy's rant.

Yes, the day after the election, because of the special circumstances of her husband's death. Some sort of special law, don't know if it's a Missouri law, or what though. I've heard it before, not just from Hedgecock, too.

Yes...that was a DIRECT quote from his speech. I was typing as he spoke it. It just goes to prove that Massachusetts rats are just as blind as West VA mice.

And you're right, it is starting to make some sense. Check out this thread:

The Dems can lose power sooner then anyone realizes ..

I'm thinking Fox News needs to dicuss this topic a bit more

Kennedy: "Israel will retailliate possibly with nuclear weapons... this escalation spirals out of control... there is a fundamental threat to Israel.

Israel has made it quite clear that they believe taking out Saddam is well worth the risk to their safety. Kennedy appears more worried about Israel than the Israelis themselves are! ...It's all bullsh/t, of course -- he doesn't care about them in the least. It's all about getting Bush back for the election.

They are desperate to please and to
energize their base, who are mostly
leftists. This base is demanding they
STOP GWB OR ELSE. They cannot afford
to support the President. They could
not gain enough moderate/independent
votes to offset a loss of their base.
Remember, nobody has to vote for Dems;
if voters support Bush they can vote
for Bush's candidates.
