Teddy Kennedy is arguing against military intervention in Iraq. These words transcribed as he speaks... "As I said earlier, we still don't know the fate, location, or operational capacity of Osama Bin Ladin but we do know that Al Queda is still there and here. But, we don't know when where or how this will happen. CIA director has testified that Al Queda remains a serious threat to our country... even if the Taliban out of power.. Afghanistan is still fragile... our reconstruction effort is halting and inadequate...
Some operatives have faded into the woodwork...Karzai is still struggling... Pakistan is far from certain...
United Nations is far from convinced

Yes, but I remember Weiner grandstanding out in front of the White House about how there wasn't any vandalism...only to have Ari release the photos the next day. Har!
I Weiner appears, we know that we are going to see the evidence released shortly!

LOL...man, you hate that guy!
I hope there's still time for John Edwards to make a speech before Bush lowers the bomb on these "they haven't proved their case" guys!

I hope people realize that Babs is the one who gave Kennedy his info. IN order for Israel to act in retalliation for a nuclear hit it would have to be hit first. Does it make any sense to sit and wait for anyone to take a nuke hit from Saddam? That is the jest of what Kennedy said. OF course this is the thinking of the UN. They want Israel destroyed. As for debating the issue. Bush has been trying to debate the issue but dems have been avoiding it. I think they used gore as the point man on this issue and now think they can get some miles out of it. I hope you all are letting them know how you feel about this. And yes, I am for going to war over there before anymore acts of war are committed here.

And it sounds like he ROLLS the words from the back of his throat. Or something. It's very unusual!

Yes, urban warfare will be hell (just ask the IDF's experience in Jenin), but that in itself is not an argument against invading Iraq.In 1945, once we entered Germany we encountered little resistance from the Germans (of course the Germans resisted the Russians, but that was because they knew what the Russians would do to them), I suspect once we rout Saddam's army by air, that we will encounter little resistance in Iraq.

I just get a chuckle every time I think of Weiner out there in front of the White House with his umbrella demanding an apology. Oh, what a scene that was! LOL!

This is great. What a juxtaposition (sp?). First, we look at Teddy and now FOX has split screens of Rummy and W. OH, what a contrast! Life is good.

...It is likely that Sen. Kennedy IS refering to the final 15 minutes of "Saving Private Ryan" because he is alerting people to the danger and loss associated with urban fighting...Thanks, I'd like to find a transcript so I can re-check the context the reference was given in.
I still think he really meant the first 15 minutes. The *first* 15 (or twenty) minutes is much better known than the *last*, and would be much more likely to be used as a reference in a popular speech. (Anyway, I'll check it out.)
To: bonesmccoy
also . . . I am fat, drunk, and stupid. I also do a very credible W.C. Fields impersonation.
To: MJY1288
Saddam has to be smiling while hearing this fat @ss spewing on the airwavesThe least Teddy could do is resign from the Senate, move to Baghdad and take up employment as Saddam's driver. That would render a war unneccessary...
