Orange County (CA) Freepers who can squeeze a GReet/FReep into their day, for BILL SIMON, will get a bonus. There is a hugh burned and battered fire truck that is parked on a flatbed in the library's parking lot, having been trucked across country from NYC. It is an awesome sight, with inscriptions, a memorial book, etc... that is inspiring and so much more, when you see it up close. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, ON THE CORNER IN FRONT OF THE NIXON LIBRARY, 11:00 AM. We are there to give some balance to the Davis 'renta-mob' and to give thumbs up to BILL SIMON. If you need more info, or want to be included in the group e-mail list, of the OC Chapter, send request to: seenenuf@cox.net

This event is less than 24 hours after our famous
RonDog, makes another eGray-Whore appearance at
babbling Babs party in Hollywood. He has promised to be
up and fresh for an encore in Yorba Linda. What
a 'lady'.

From http://freedomsflame.us/pages/library.html

On Saturday, September 7, 2002, the Freedom’s Flame September 11 Memorial Foundation will move its, “Let’s Roll” display from Rancho Cucamonga to the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda, CA. The display consists of two flatbed trailers, one with sixteen tons of World Trade Center steel and the other with a damaged FDNY fire truck that served in the 9-11 rescue efforts. Accompanying the trucks along its entire route will be law-enforcement and firefighting personnel from San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties. The media and the public are invited to view the display along the travel route and at the Nixon Library. (See the Schedule & Route of Travel below)

The Foundation’s team and sponsors originally moved the steel and the truck, from New York City through eighteen states, ten state capitals, and the nation’s capital in eleven days, finishing in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on the 4th of July. Throughout the entire trip, the six-vehicle convoy was escorted by police and fire units from the cities and states along the 3900-mile route.

Recently the Nixon Library requested that the “Let Roll” display be set up for public viewing from September 7th through October 5th. The Foundation accepted their invitation and will move both trailers this Saturday. “Let’s Roll” is scheduled to arrive at the Library at 11:00am for a significant series of public and media ceremonies. (For detail see the Library’s website www.nixonfoundation.org.)

On September 11, the Library is planning and even bigger tribute to the 9-11 victims and will use the “Let’s Roll” display as a backdrop for their nationally televised ceremonies.

Parts of the World Trade Center steel will be re-fabricated into the superstructure for two September 11th memorials called Freedom’s Flame. One is a gift from California to New York in recognition of the sacrifice made by so many innocent people from New York City, at the Pentagon, in Pennsylvania, and around the world. A duplicate Freedom’s Flame memorial will be built and located in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, further uniting the East and West Coasts of our great nation.

Fabrication of the two 37’ tall memorials will take approximately three years and cost between 9 and 15 million dollars when completed. Each memorial will have thirty, seven-foot figures ascending and descending a staircase that wraps around a giant stainless steel flame. The flame and its base form a sundial that portrays each tragic event of September 11, 2001.

Freedom’s Flame designer is William Lecky, AIA, a nationally acclaimed design architect, and major player in the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials in Washington, D.C. Lawrence Noble, a local sculptor, noted throughout California for his “Officer Down” law enforcement statues, and for the new California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento, will sculpt the figures for each memorial. Noble’s statues are best known for their attention to detail and life-like renderings of the depicted individuals.

The fire truck eventually will be housed in a regional fire museum proposed for Rancho Cucamonga, near the Memorial site. The display and both flat bed trucks are temporarily warehoused in Rialto, CA., until the Foundation can exhibit them in their future office in Rancho Cucamonga.

The WTC steel and the 9-11 fire truck were obtained by Project Director Chuck Williams and Dr. James Burns, from the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department in Rancho Cucamonga, during trips to New York City in November, 2001 and February and May, 2002.

The "eGray Hooker" will be there.

If you prefer not to dress as a prostitute (!) - please bring signs that say, "Gray Davis: debate DODGER!"
ANY "Dodger" shirts, hats, flags would be WONDERFUL!

The Hollywood Resistance Force, under the able command of our fearless leader RonDog, assembled in front of the Kodak Theater in Hollywood to bring our valiant resistance efforts into the belly of the beast. We truly showed that we had no fear!

Just got back from the Nixon library FReep. RonDog, gubamyster, and I were there, and three gentlemen from the WWII generation plus a young lady joined us.

The opposition was a complete no-show. We may be scaring them off.

RonDog and I attended the luncheon. Bill Simon was introduced by Bruce Herschensohn, and Simon gave a rousing speech interrupted by standing O's at least twice. The California Republican Party (remember them?) were there in force, handing out red Dump Davis bumper stickers. Better late than never, I always say.
