I assume though that when you retire you will want your SS check just like them? Like you, they had no choice but to "invest" their money in social Security.

# 64: I'm not counting on ever seeing that. Anyway, I don't begrudge them their Social Security check. They earned that and contributed to that. My problem is, it seems that's not enough. Now it's "free prescription drugs, no matter what". Do people who can't afford it need help? Sure. But doing it through Uncle Gov is only going to make it more expensive for all. I do have a problem with it being (just one example) some kind of blanket for all. Why should some retired millionaire sitting in Palm Springs get free prescription drugs just because they are old? It's crap.
