I'm tired of having to speak Spanish just to get a stinking burger in McD's. And I live in No. VA.

It's nice to know that other people in this area have the same gripes. At first I didn't have a problem with it (came here in '99), but now I need to get the hell out of here! There are places I don't patronize any more because of the communication and cultural differences.

My neighborhood (in NE NJ) has gone completely to hell in the past 3-4 years. If communication problems in McD's were all we had I'd still be fine. The latest batch of illegals pee on the sidewalk in broad open daylight & if you say something you're labeled racist!

I was in a Wendy's where the Hispanic workers were really "getting-off" by jabbering away in a foreign language. I could tell that other people in line were also offended by this "In your face" antic.

I'll go to a Mexican restaurant if I want that atmosphere, but not Wendy's.

How large have the changes been in the northern Virginia area over the past few years. Can you give Freepers an overview of the area, and how they have changed in particular parts of town?

In the Atlanta area, we have seen a lot of the same things.
