President Bush met with President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia today, and discussed the war on terrorism, as well as Columbia's continued efforts in fighting the illegal drug trade. Bush also met with the Boys and Girls Clubs National Youth of the Year finalists in the White House. This evening, the President attended the National Republican Senatorial Committee dinner at the National Building Museum. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was in Mexico City attending the 11th Conference of Spouses of Heads of State and Government. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

One of the Bush Groups I am on gained 30 members today. I think Daschle ticked off a few people.

The last picture in #13...Laura looks like a movie star. I agree, but I am so glad she does not act or think like one. We would have another brain dead first lady like the last one who thought she was one.

I think we all have Elizabeth Smart in the back of our minds and think of her automatically when we hear anything like this.

That warms my heart. There are many Republicans running tight races that could use the money. They need to win. Daschle needs to be put back in the minority.

May a man intervene on this thread to say that I think Bush has a great tie collection. He can send me his leftovers any day, I'd be glad to have them in my closet.
Great suits, too. He must have a good tailor. But he knows enough not to get the press fixated on his suits and ties, the way Kennedy and clinton did, and even that jackass gore.
His clothes just quietly do the work of proclaiming that he is a gentleman with good taste.

That's good news ! I have been kinda bummed after reading on another thread that the Networks aren't covering this in an honest way -- I wondered if the "average" Americans (those who always watch Peter Jennings and Dan Rather, and have no idea who Brit Hume is) are getting a one-sided story. I was surprised to hear that CNN was reporting about the controversy over the quotes that Daschle attributed to Pres. Bush and V.Pres. Cheney not being completely true...

Their performances were like outtakes from the Rocky Horror Picture Show- Dr. Frank N Furter and Riff Raff.
They are mini-men. Not men at all really. How can they face themselves in the mirrors in the morning when they shave? Or maybe they just use wax?

A truly great day for Republicans and for freepers alike! I know why it was a good day for Republicans, what with the Daschle meltdown, the (uncharacteristic) strength of Lott, and the ever present courage and calm of the President, but why was it a good day for freepers?
I've been working all day (first evening class of the quarter, from which I just returned). What happened today?

You are most welcome here, as I am sure rintense would agree. We have several men who post here. This is really not a "chick thread" but rather a thread of people who appreciate the President and the First Lady.
And I like his ties as well! You are quite correct...he is not a flashy dresser but is always dressed appropriately and in good taste.

Rush Limbaugh said Daschle had a meltdown!! LOL

Does she look a little like Audrey Hepburn in that picture......or is it just me?I love the comment one of George's brothers made (can't remember which bro.) He said when Laura first met the Bush family, it was like Audrey Hepburn walking into the Animal House! :-)
