[history]
The United Nations. The same U.N. whose secretary-general, Kofi Annan, stands as one of the chief ditherers over removing Saddam. Here are the ingredients of a conflict of interest.
Under the U.N.'s Office of the Iraq Program, which supervises the six-year-old Oil-for-Food Program, the U.N. has had a hand in the sale of more than $55 billion worth of Iraqi oil. Iraq ships oil out to U.N.-approved buyers under the terms of the sanctions agreement. The U.N. vets the inflow of "humanitarian" imports into Iraq.

The conflict of interest involved in this UN program should be public knowledge. I have not heard of this before this article. We are joining UNESCO which has the same reputation of mispending funds and corruption. Why are we covering up UN corruption and fraud?

UN also has been giving welfare to Arab refugees for 50+ years while all Jews kicked out from Arab lands have long been settled in Israel and elsewhere.

The UN is corrupt. We need to get out and let it devour itself. One of the major problems of previous inspectors in Iraque was inspectors taking payoffs. Saddam always knew ahead of time where they were going. UN has been taking payoffs all along.

This is just sickening. Thanks you for posting it as I didn't know it was so corrupt.
