QUITMAN, Ark. -- Lisa Vaughan says her log cabin in the woods was so peaceful that sometimes the only sound that could be heard was the trees swaying in the wind.
Now she's listening for lions.
In the past week, four 600- to 800-pound African lions believed to have some connection to a nearby exotic animal farm have been killed near this central Arkansas town. And residents say the terror may not be over, because no one knows for sure whether more lions are on the loose.

I'm still mad at Arkansas for giving us clintoon as President or is it I'm still mad at Texas for giving us Ross Perot as a third party spoiler? I forget. Both! Agreed!

What is really killin, is that there are STILL those who think Arkansas GAVE them Clinton? Shucks, maybe we did, and that was darn-right smart... We call it "pass the trash".
OTOH, if memory serves me right, it took the majority of this whole great big country to vote him in TWICE...and maybe, just maybe, they still haven't learnt thar lesson? Hello? New York? Woooo-piggg..!

"Hello? New York? Woooo-piggg..!" LOL! You make a good point. At least Arkansas was smart enough to send him packing. Of course it took what, 12 years? And it'll probably take a lot longer than that to get rid of the odor.

I have to admit that Kentucky is pretty. Texas would look like that if it had lakes, woods, hills and streams. I take that back. Texas does have all of that. It's just a day's drive. That's why Texans love this place so much. It takes too long to get out of here.

You know why they're in Arkansas?
They want Clinton.
Be afraid, Democrats.
Be very afraid.

Well now I know someone who lives in Arkansas who is not bored!

"a PETA person" Yea, I can't exactly see a PETA nut doing this, unless they were going to sacrifice the animals to end it. Anyway somebody from outside let 4 lions loose on, or near the guy's property after trying to dump them on him. I'm sure he would have taken then free 'cause he could make more than a few bucks with some bonus hunt, but the regs don't allow him to do that...quarantine laws, vet exams before the animals get there, that sort of thing. The perp probably didn't have them legally. Anyway what a moron, letting 4 lions loose.

Be nice. If Clinton had been our governor we'd be sensitive too.

And Ann Richards and Mark White weren't an embarrassement? lol Ok, some might not know of them, how about Molly Ivins? It's hard for Texans to hold their heads up knowing "we" gave Molly to the world............ ;^)
To: WhyisaTexasgirlinPA
Ah gee. Why did you have to remind them?

The AP strikes again. The RPG is a surface-to-air missile?

Just out of curiosity, which hurt worse.....the reference to our wonderful former Governors, or the alleged writer?

Had some lion once at a Barnstable Deer Club wild game feed.
Not bad...

The 348 Winnie is suitably impressive. Especially in that nice Model 71. The NRA magazine just did a nice article on it's predecessor.
My wife and I have decided no rifles greater than 30 cal unless we go to Alaska or Africa. (Anything over 30 is an overkill for the Kansas deer we chase.)
