I did not say "all", as you have falsely claimed..I said "many"...look up the word in the dictionary if it is giving you problems..I did NOT say I got the expert opinion from SI....I said I may have....The SIX turn overs were in the FIRST HALF (PAY ATTENTION)....Nothing has morphed...you're getting sillier....Is this a ND fan trait?....When I apologized for the errors, I thought I was speaking with an adult who respectully acknowledges and moves forward...(however, an apology from an honorable person would mean more...you are a little too loose with the truth, or you can't read very well)I don't keep making errors, you keep misstating what I have said....so now that I know I am not posting with someone who can acurately exchange, I will leave this thread, after all, life is more important than ND football, but not before I say again....ND holds the record for the most moves UP and DOWN the polls from pre-season to post season, which is evidence of the wishfull thinking of MANY (not all, as you will claim I just said) of those who vote in the polls.

I did not say "all", as you have falsely claimed..I said "many" I QUOTED you in my last post where you said "many". Can you point to were I made the statement that you said "all"?
And you just said "11 turnovers" in post 118. Where did you get that number?

Your post #119: You said, "Of course not, but that is what you said."...you were answering my question as to whether you believed ALL experts said ND should be national champs that year....You said, that is what I said...I didn't say that.....I'll be back later in the year.....(wink, wink).

Someone said they spotted Maurice in Athens, Georgia Saturday night. Heard he was transfering to UGA and they were going to let him wear "34". :)
To: TomB
That is the goofiest thing I ever heard.

What did you think of the QB for La. Tech? Seems like they have been coming up with good ones for a while now. It's a mystery how they do that because all of them could play for better programs.

You said, "Of course not, but that is what you said."...you were answering my question as to whether you believed ALL experts said ND should be national champs that year....You said, that is what I said...I didn't say that.... Sigh.
Look. You said:
I did not say "all", as you have falsely claimed.
All I want is for you to show me EXACTLY where I "falsely claimed" that. I should be easy. Just cut and paste my false claim.
And you also made up another stat. In post 118 you said there weren't 11 fumbles, but there were 11 turnovers. Now I thought we were finally clear on this and you go and screw the pooch again. What is the matter with you? You scream for me not to call you a liar, yet you get a simple statistic wrong even when I give a link to the official stats. What are we to think about you?

Michigan overranked? They have won more games than any other team in the history of football.

IT'S SATIRE!!!! I understood exactly what this was, but it was arrogant BS that wasn't even humorous. All it was was insultive to the Big Ten and arrogant. You would think after so many crappy years Notre Dame might learn a little modesty especially this early in the season.
To: Impeach the Boy
SOME experts said that the the Irish got LUCKY with all those turn overs.....Well of course that's what's supposed to happen at Irish games...

Oh for God's sake get over yourself, or, absent that, atleast learn how to fake a sense of humor.
There're many Big 10 fans on this thread who I've traded barbs with over the years, and they are mature enough to take this for what it is, a little silliness breaking the seriousness around here.
It's SPORTS for crying out loud!

Yep, it's always in good fun. (Especially when your team is undefeated...) Incidentally, I imagine you read that ND & PSU have scheduled a home and home in a few years? Should be fun to get that rivalry back on track - those are two of the classiest programs in the nation. And Willingham certainly won't do anything to let down ND; I wish PSU could've picked him up after JoePa wins the national championship and retires this year. *grin*

What did you think of the QB for La. Tech? Seems like they have been coming up with good ones for a while now. It's a mystery how they do that because all of them could play for better programs. He was solid, GC. Elusive, strong arm, quick thinking...he killed PSU on third and longs. I think if you put him behind a line equivalent to Penn State's, those two teams would go touchdown for touchdown. But it seemed that PSU's depth began to take its toll in the second half.
Both La Tech and Central Florida (PSU's first opponent) run good programs, and do so without a lot of hype. Their sell must be that players can come in and make an immediate impact, and get plenty of exposure for the NFL draft. Lot of great players from that Gulf Coast region (particularly wide receivers). And players like Byron Leftwich and Randy Moss have and will do a lot to help the recruiting of ALL the smaller schools.

Listen little child...(the usual ND fan)...I admitted that I was mistaken about the 11 fumbles. You rightly pointed to stats saying there were 6 turn overs (combo fumbles and intercepts) in the FIRST HALF (you do know what a half is don't you, or did you go to school at ND?....what is your problem?...You keep sticking your foot in your mouth!!!!.sigh....such a child. Your team is overated AGAIN...in the top ten after having to be saved by a poorly thrown pass in the fourth quarter, yet TRUE TO HISTORY, they move into the TOP TEN....GET A LIFE...I made a mistake and admitted it...now learn from the adults around you.
To: Impeach the Boy
Listen little child...(the usual ND fan)...Well, at least now it's apparent why you trotted out obviously erroneous information (ND's weak schedule?) and attributed it to the nebulous "others".
ND holds the record for the most moves UP and DOWN the polls from pre-season to post season...
So, assuming that the post-season results are more legitimate (having been based on an actual season of competition), ND is either the most over-rated or under-rated team in the pre-season poll. (I guess, on the average, everything's OK then?)
If you dislike Notre Dame, that's fine (half my family roots against me), next time just bring some honest facts to the table. (Instead of nonsense like the "statements of others" that ND plays a weak schedule.)
