that just because CPS may step over the bounds on occasion The concept of the rule of law is that rules that apply for every legal action (due process) prevent overstepping the bounds. Even one case of overstepping the bounds demonstrates that the rules are not truly in place and all cases are in doubt. That means-how do I know anyone is guilty when there are no standards for guilt.
Until due process is firmly in place, they are a lawless and rogue agency to be avoided at all costs.

Live in your utopian la-la world if you chose, just don't thrust thrust it upon me. You Libertarians seem to want nothing other than to deconstruct our government, and then hope it can just run itself. Well, it can't. And do you know why? Because there are too many self-serving, stupid people who think their opinions are the right way. All you would accomplish is chaos.
If it's broken, then set about the task of fixing it, not just sitting around and complaining that it's broken.

Ummm...every state has its own version of CPS--so there are 50 different agencies, not just one, each with its own set of regulations. You speak of them as if they are one.
