"Yes, Lager was a great help. He filed all the paper work for the permit etc."

Bravo on that...thanks Lauger!!! Without a legislative sponsor it's tough to get all the help one needs for a Capitol Rally. It's the nuts and bolts I worry about now.

We've had a professional sound systems at past events... donated by a great church member up in Grass Valley. Don't think she ever joined Free Republic though. Having patriotic music blaring from a good sound system really energizes the crowd and helps make an event. I have some great patriotic Blue Grass CD's, seems fitting for a Sawgrass Rebellion ;) It's also nice to have a wireless mic that's open to the rally participants... this is, after all, their event.

I just hope JimRob will help spread the word since this great bunch of patriots have a long haul across the US. I have 300 media advances going out tonight and planned to link your press release on Free Republic to those emails. It would be terrific if there were Freepers greeting them and making them feel welcome as they go.  I bet we can count on the Houston Freepers to do just that and help spread the word in the Great State of Texas!! See our website for more details.

Part of having a legislative sponsor is getting the use of sound equipment and electricity. I was hoping to have a live band there but that may not happen.

Worth repeating:

Can anyone explain why a major project by a local Free Republic Chapter was moved out of breaking news?

Bump for the working Freepers out there. May God Bless and multiply your efforts thousandfold.

Seminole Wind
Music and Lyrics by: John Anderson

Ever since the days of old
Men would search for wealth untold
They dig for silver and for gold
And leave the empty holes
And way down south in the Everglades
Where the black water rolls and the saw grass sways
The eagles fly and the otters play
In the land of the Seminole

CHORUS

So blow, blow Seminole wind
Blow like you're never gonna blow again
I'm calling to you like a long lost friend
And I know who you are
And blow, blow from the Okeechobee
All the way up to Micanopy
Blow across the home of the Seminole
The alligator and the gar

Progress came and took its toll
And in the name of flood control
They made their plans and they drained the land
Now the glades are going dry
And the last time I walked in the swamp
I sat upon a cypress stump
I listened close and I heard the ghost of Osceola cry

Ya'll are doing some wonderful things out there. We in the afflicted areas can't thank you enough.

Will you guys be coming all the way to Florida? If so I'm dying to meet you. If not God bless you for working so hard for nothing in return but knowing you did the right thing.

You're both doing God's work.

I'm supposed to come but family issues may prevent that. There is a picture of me on the NorCal-Cap Area web site. See the link in post number 2.

I went to the website and couldn't find the information I was looking for.

Is someone coordinating the convoy rallys? How can I get information on the October 9th stop in Columbia, SC.

You are one beautiful person FF, I mean that.

I'd love to meet you next month. If you can't make it you've done more than your share already.

AAABEST....

The credit goes to farmfriend... I'm just lucky to pull up the rear of this great patriotic project. We will need to rely on all of you to spread the word... that's a fact!

At sawgrassrebellion.com - click "Caravan Route," it shows the convoy stopping in San Francisco. Do you know if this is correct, or, by saying, "San Francisco" they mean "Tracy?"

Do you know if they will be passing through San Francisco? Date and time and place? Maybe some FReepers can greet them. Also, maybe they can get some time on KSFO Radio with Lee and Melanie, Brian Wilson, or Barbara Simpson.

The SF stop is the Tracy stop. No they will not go to SF. They are coming down 5 through Sac to Stockton then over to Tracy. Back up 5 the next day to Sac then up 80 to Reno.

I really do think we need to get more details out on the convoy... and,  to all our freeper friends out there, YOU ARE THE SECRET to spreading the word. We'll get press releases out to AM Talk Radio producers and hosts, but it's YOUR CALLS that will build the fire. If loyal listeners send emails to their favorite hosts, their interest will build.

NOW... from the Sawgrass convoy participants in the Napa, Sonoma area... this schedule. (We need more like these for other areas along the route.) Let's make that a priority for Sunday, okay?

Cut and paste below this line to send information on to friends and local media - edit local meeting places and times to fit your community!

CONVOY:

Sept. 29th - 2002:  Join the Napa-Sonoma County Wagon Train as it stops in Calistoga, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Vallejo, Danville and on to Tracy for a fundraiser at 2:00 pm. The Northern Cal and Southern Cal Wagon Trains meeting up with the Klamath Falls Wagon Train (via I-5) in Tracy.

Meeting locations and departure times:

Departs from Calistoga: 8:00am Location: Hwy 29 & Larkmead Lane. (about 3 miles south of Calistoga)

Departs from (North) Santa Rosa: 9:30 am Location: Airway Drive & Hopper Ave.

Departs from Petaluma 10:30 am Location: Cattleman's Restaurant 5012 Petaluma Blvd. No. (1st Petaluma freeway exit going South).

Vallejo and Danville out posts undetermined at this time.

Contact the Napa-Sonoma County Sawgrass Wagon Train Master for more details via email to: Barbara Dwyer at 707-942-4785.

Sept. 30th - 2002:   Join the Convoy on to Sacramento for a fundraiser at high noon! From here the Sawgrass Convoy heads on to Reno and across the country to Florida.

The goal of the Klamath, Oregon to Florida convoy is to raise as much money as possible to aid the farmers who had their water cut off last year, many of whom are still on the verge of bankruptcy; and to aid farmers and property owners in south Florida who have been flooded as the result of federal government policies.

1. In Klamath, the single year loss for 2001 exceeded $130 million! The losses to the Florida farmers and property owners exceeds $100 million!

2. The Relief Convoy will tie the country together from northwest to southeast including the midwest and eastern seaboard.

3. To educate the American public on the great injustices being done to the rural people of America by radical environmental bureaucrats of the Endangered Species Act and other policies and laws.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

1. Donate a shovel and/or a bucket with your name, address and a message. Deliver that shovel or bucket to: The convoy "outpost" nearest to you, or send your donation to your nearest addresses below:

Klamath Falls, Oregon 97601
or

3. Donate an auction item, the more expensive the better, to be auctioned for the relief of the Klamath and Florida farmers and property owners at the fundraiser points in your State.

4. Travel with the convoy to Florida, hooking up at a location closest to your home and attend the fundraiser and auction at the convoy stops along the way. If you can't go the whole way, join the convoy as it passes through you county and/or State.
