THE DEMOCRAT PARTY IS BEYOND CORRUPT, IT'S ALSO EVIL WARNS JIM ROBINSON IN SCATHING ATTACK OF TRUTH

The Democrat Party is beyond corrupt, It's also evil.

And what is this evil that triumphs when good men do nothing? What are we really talking about here and is it worth fighting for? Is it worth turning our heads and allowing evil to continue on while we do nothing? (and I count voting for a third party candidate when knowing that he has absolutely no chance of defeating the Democrat, and worse, actually planning and hoping to knock out the Republican candidate who otherwise might have defeated the Democrat, as doing nothing).

Corruption is accepting campaign cash from the Chinese in exchange for military hardware. Corruption is accepting campaign cash as bribes from Indonesian power brokers, from Buddhist Monks, from corrupt corporate moguls. Corruption is defined by the myriad criminal acts and practices of the Clintons and the Gores and their corrupt Democrat minions.

Corruption is the land grabs, the power grabs, the gun grabs, the bribery, the shady deals, the high crimes and treason. Corruption is the theft of campaign dollars through forced labor union deductions. Corruption is the systematic indoctrination of several generations of our youth with socialist dogma via government school systems. Corruption is the removal of God from public life and substituting in the evil homosexual/feminist agenda and the destruction of moral society. Corruption is lying to the public about global warming and the selling of the Kyoto treaty. Corruption is giving up our national sovereignty to the United Nations. Corruption is the abuses of office, obstruction of justice, lying, perjury and subornation of perjury.

The Democrat Party is thoroughly corrupt. There is no question about that, but it's way beyond corrupt. It's also evil.

Waco was evil. The killing of innocent men, women, children and babies is evil. Torturing them for weeks on end, gassing them, and then burning them alive is pure evil. This was perpetrated by a corrupt and evil Democrat Administration and covered-up by corrupt and evil Democrat Congressmen and Senators, many of whom you are saying should be allowed to remain in office even today.

And as bad as that is, it pales in comparison to the Democrat government sanctioned and funded wholesale slaughter of the most innocent life of all, the murder of innocent human life in the womb. This is evil. Pure evil. And this evilness is openly perpetrated by a thoroughly corrupt and evil Democrat Party. The same corrupt and evil Democrat Congress and Judiciary whom you are now saying deserve to remain in office.

IMHO, allowing these Democrats to remain in power is aiding and abetting the corruption and treason, and is acting as an accessory before and after the fact to the murderers of innocent human life. Is doing nothing and allowing this evil to triumph evil itself?

I love my country. I love the Constitution. I love life. I love God. I know that the Democrats hate my country, hate the Constitution, hate God and hate human life. I see that the only Party capable of blocking and defeating the evil Democrats is the Republican Party. I see that many races are so close that as little as a one percent siphon of conservative votes to a third party could be the difference between success and failure. I see allowing a Democrat to remain in power when it could have been prevented as a triumph of evil.

"The Whiskey Rebellion was actually widespread and successful, for it eventually forced the federal government to repeal the excise tax."

This was my point on the excise tax (a sales tax) having an automatic limit. When the people have to actually pay a tax on their purchases (as opposed to having an automatic deduction from their paychecks) they feel the tax. It is painful. If the tax rate gets too high, they will either not pay it or otherwise do something about it. The socialists will have a much more difficult time paying for their excesses and their programs will not be allowed.

If there's a Free Republic "Hall of Fame," this post by Jim Rob belongs in it. A classic statement of this site's tenor and purpose.

You propose inflicting a "painful" tax simply for the purpose of inciting rebellion to have it repealed?
Repeal of the Whiskey tax didn't result in curtailment of government expenditures.
It merely shifted taxation back to a less onerous form: tariffs.

"We are all the more reconciled to the tax on importations, because it falls exclusively on the rich, and with the equal partition of intestate's estates, constitutes the best agrarian law. In fact, the poor man in this country who uses nothing but what is made within his own farm or family, or within the United States, pays not a farthing of tax to the General Government, but on his salt; and should we go into that manufacture as we ought to do, he will pay not one cent."

--Thomas Jefferson to Pierre Samuel Dupont de Nemours, 1811. ME 13:39

The Democrats are the party of slime, corruption, socialism, high taxes, high spending, weakened national security, Godlessness, homosexualism, perversion, feminism, wholesale liberal propagandizing, international sovereignty robbing treaties, power grabs, land grabs, gun grabs, socialized medicine, socialized programs from A to Z, and worst of all, the evil of government sanctioned and funded murder in the womb.

With you all the way on this one Jim.

No. Pain is not necessarily the game. The pain of the income tax is there, it's just hidden and delayed. I favor doing away with the income tax for several reasons and replacing it with a sales tax. The sales tax has many advantages, only one of which is its natural upper limit.

The income tax punishes labor, production, wealth and capital. The sales tax removes those penalties. The income tax is forced. The sales tax is controlled by the individual. If the individual wants to save, he can invest his 100% tax free dollars to gain maximum earnings and those earnings will not be taxed until and unless he spends them.

The income tax is an automatic forced deduction and allows politicians to raise the rates or change the rules almost at will. It allows granting special favors to special interest groups. It's unfair, uneven and arbitrary.

The income tax gives the government power over people. They have to enforce the tax at gun point. The income tax violates our constitutional rights to privacy and due process. The government has no business having access to our earnings or financial records. They also have no business seizing the assets of individuals whom they suspect are not in compliance. With the sales tax, they will be deprived of that access. No individual audits necessary. No IRS gestapo squads necessary.

The only republican I remember who behaved responsibly during the 95 waco hearings was John Shadegg. He was very much in the minority. But I will always support John Shadegg as a result of this. I don't care if he's pro-h1b and I'm adamantly opposed to h1b. John Shadegg is an honest fellow. I'll support him. Most of the rest of the republicans are not in that category.

I think you might be talking about the 92 US Attorneys. Clinton fired all 92 US Attorneys and then hired 92 new ones. Those are the fellows who control federal government prosecutions. That had never been done in our history, for a president to fire them all and hire his own. Sensible people knew then that he was corrupt.

"A great book you may wish to read is "America's 30 years War" who is winning. Balint Vazsonyi. his web site: http://www.founding.org/" "

Thanks for the suggestion. Balint Vazsonyi is an interesting fellow -- one of my favorite political commentators, in fact. His background makes him such a great witness for the conservative cause (reared under the communist system).

The Leftists (sorry -- "socialists") must loathe his "mean-sprited" ideology.

After considerable thought I have come to the conclusion that my belief concerning voting for conscience rather than voting for the winner is still correct. However, I am going to make an exception for the next two years and acquiesce to the leader of FreeRepublic.com. I will be voting only a straight Republican ticket even though I may have to hold my nose while doing so. I consider this as a sacrifice that most likely will have to be made in order for some semblence of a republic to remain. However, should the elections either "go to hell in a handbasket" or the newly elected Republican majority continues down it's "no balls/non commited", "follow the Democrats to socialism" path I will then feel justified in voting my conscience and only my conscience once again. I have a lot of respect for you Mr. Robinson as you carry a lot of weight on your shoulders concerning our support of the Republican party come hell or high water. My faith in your perception of reality stands and my word is my bond. thanks again for this forum, may God continue to bless...

If republicans are for small government, then why do we have 13.9% growth in federal spending this year? I read on Yahoo Business News that less than half of that growth was explained by increases in either defense spending or homeland security. Bush is for big government, he's proven it with his actions.

Elitist Hamiltonian propaganda.

Why did Hamilton favor the excise tax? For one thing, these westerners, mostly farmers, were considered backward and a little slow-witted, so it was assumed that one could tax them with impunity.

The sales tax is inherently opressively regressive.
That is because those who are less affluent must devote a greater proportion of their resources simply to obtain the necessities of life: food, clothing, shelter, medicines.

I cannot condone a tax policy designed to place the greatest burden on less afluent Americans while allowing only the most wealthy the opportunity to increase their holdings completely unfettered.

This is the shame of Alexander Hamilton: that he was so willing to send forth federal troops to oppress ordinary Americans for the enrichment of the wealthy mercantile class. In his great visionary wisdom, Jefferson rejected economic subservience to European trade, instituted tariffs, balanced the budget, and initiated our great westward expansion from which ALL could prosper from the bounty of our own hard work and natural resources.

"Merchants have no country. The mere spot they stand on does not constitute so strong an attachment as that from which they draw their gains."

--Thomas Jefferson to Horatio G. Spafford, 1814. ME 14:119

"I hope we shall... crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country."

--Thomas Jefferson to George Logan, 1816. FE 10:69

I sincerely doubt that any of the founders would have approved a progressive income tax, or any income tax at all. In fact, according to their final work product, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, they expressly did not. They did, however, allow for an excise tax.

"The ONLY evil people in government today are those who circumvent the Constitution."

Well, that includes 100% of the Democrats. Vote them out!

Maybe not "circumventing", but Republicans are equally capable of violating the Constitution. I'll say they're somewhat less inclined (and maybe more inept at the task than their Democratic brethren).

Not 100% of the Democrats are evil and corrupt. Some of them - and there are a few, mostly at the local level - are sincerely following their own principles... and they are more often than not fiscally and philosophically conservative. Why don't they switch to Republican, and why are they Democratic to begin with? Mostly they're Democrat out of tradition, and never saw why a voter affiliation ever mattered.

Those few Democrats are from the 80% of the population that is neither extremist Republican or extremist Democratic. The pro-Republican sentiment echoed here and elsewhere represents perhaps only 10% of the sentiment nationwide, with rabid Democratic sentiments taking another 10% or so. THAT is the reason for voter apathy in this country: most Americans do not identify with either extreme, because they don't think their vote matters... or because they see Republicans and Democrats as two sides of the same coin.

And I'll end this post with a bold prediction: for the same reasons I mentioned above, the Libertarians are going to have MASSIVE success - as both a philosophy and a party - in the next ten to fifteen years. The Republicans are as stagnant as the Democrats... and Americans are starting to realize that now.
