You may have raised 6 children but that doesn't mean you know *how* to raise children. Beating is not discipline.

It is not your place to judge me on whether or not I have raised my children correctly. I have NEVER, EVER BEAT my kids. Each of them have been disciplined in one form or another, some a whole lot, some hardly at all. The very last resort was to spank them with a wooden paddle.

I have never used my hand to spank them. That in my estimate would be a sin.

Each and ever time they were told beforehand what the punishment would be if they behaved in a certain way. You can believe me when I had to discipline them, it was always in a loving controlled fashion.

My children all love my very much and each of them will tell you they were never spanked without just cause.

Having said all that, you might want to know we loved our children so much we homschooled them for many years at great sacrifice.

This internet board gives you anonymity to a certain degree, it let's you assume many things about people you don't have a clue to who they are.

Obviously I should have clarified myself better...my intention was not to say you are an unfit parent in any way...my intention was to say that being a parent doesn't make one a good parent. I failed in my attempt...and I apologize. My other point was that beating is not discipline. Your explanation of how you disciplined your kiddos proves your love for them. Again, my apologies.
