Yes ---there's even that option to homeschool if they don't care to spend their money on parachial school tuition. These people are plain and simple whiners and looking for the handouts.

Canada gave them citizenship, so they should be deported to Canada and the Canadians can provide for them.

but are citizens of CanadaSend them back.
To: Congressman Billybob
What recourse is available to citizens to force the INS to enforce the laws and remove these people?
To: sarcasm
American citizens who want a better education for their children and send them out of town to a better public school on the sly invariably get found out, arrested, and charged tuition for the months their children were in school. Then their children are sent back to their failing schools. Illegal aliens can come here and get an education anywhere they damn well want.

I know of quite a few Americans who went through that. They used parents' or friends addresses and their kids were shown no "compassion" when caught --they were kicked out of the schools. Illegals don't demand the same rights as citizens, they are demanding extra rights.

This absurd ruling most likely could have been reversed had Calif. Governor Davis not conspired with the despicable Mexican Government and kept Prop. 187 out of the SCOTUS.

Excuse me, but please point out to me exactly WHERE in the Bill of Rights it says anything about the "right of children who are ILLEGAL ALIENS to a free education at taxpayers expense"?? From the same "umbras and penumbras" from which the Supreme Court unearthed the right to murder children who happen to not have descended down their mother's birth canal. In other words, nowhere but in the twisted minds of judges whose self-opinion puts them above the laws of the people, and consider themselves Kings Who Make Laws.
Specifically, if you'd like to read the lovely little decision that tells the people of this country that they have no right to decide who will get their tax dollars, go here: Plyler v. Doe
And just so you know who makes the laws for you in this country, you should know that the lawyer who argued this case, Peter Schey, was paid by the Mexican government.

Unless you're ready for tar and feathers, we need to serve notice to the GOP that their malfeasance will not be rewarded with our votes.

Thanks for posting those relevant sections. I should have read further before doing my post.
Note that Brennan asserted:
- Education is not a "fundamental right"
- That prohibiting employment of illegal aliens would be a reasonable law to deter the flow:"at least when compared with the alternative of prohibiting employment of illegal aliens". This comment is what spurred the 1986 law prohibiting employment of illegals - it wasn't illegal in 1982.
- That there would not be a significant impact on the state's budget by allowing the education of illegal aliens:"While the State might have an interest in mitigating potentially harsh economic effects from an influx of illegal immigrants, the Texas statute does not offer an effective method of dealing with the problem"
I agree that education is not a fundamental right. But of course, he then went on to say essentially that it is.
But his justification of forcing states to pay for the education of illegal alien children because no employer sanctions existed at the time is ludicrous, and tantamount to saying that burglary is warranted because no bars were installed to prevent the burglar from getting in. Gee, isn't that the whole warped liberal rationale? That crime is allowable simply because the victim did not try to prevent it?
And as far as not having a "significant impact", all I can say is - Los Angeles Unified School District. Whatta disaster.
One vote. A vote we probably have now. And note that the lead dissenter in Plyler was none other than the current Chief Justice. We need to make him the first guy on Life Extension.

Don't we really need to get a campaign of some kind going?
Phone calls, rallies outside of our congressmans local offices? Something? Anything?

"All I wanted was for my children to go to school," Evudiges Medrano said today. "I tell my children that education is like food, it is so important." There are schools in Canada and El Salvador, Ms. Medrano. Pack your bags and get the hell out of this country. Hasta la vista.

I would love to hear the reason they left Canada (where the mothers were citizens) to squat here illegally. Reminds me of that Afghan "political refugee" family that fled Germany for Britain..and when they were caught by British immigration officials, they claimed they left Germany because they experienced racism there.
Of course it had NOTHING to do with the fact that Britain offers free housing and better welfare benefits than Germany! /sarcasm
To: Dante3
Have the school report them to INS and make sure the family is deported. I think Tom Tancredo should make a telephone call to the local New Jersey INS and insist these people are sent back to Canada. Canada granted them citizenship so let the Canadian taxpayers pay for their education.

E-mail David Verducci and let him know you appreciate his actions in this case. For those of you that cannot get the above link to work, his e-mail address is: dcverducci@aol.com

Obviously she's nation shopping and wasn't content with living in Canada. Just wasn't good enough for these Salvadoran termites. BTW, 25% of all Salvadorans live in the USA. That's how out of wack things have gotten.

El Salvador was no good for them. Canada is not good enough for them. They just don't feel right unless they scam their way into the good ol' USofA!It would be interesting to find out where these people get the funds to travel/relocate from country to country?

Quite a lot of them nation shop in fact. I had discussions with a few illegal Mexican ladies who were looking into immigrating to Norway (illegally mind you) because Norwegian law was so lax and the benefits there were better. Course, I think Norway changed its laws before they got a chance to leave here. darnit.
