Big business, in spite of what the media would like us to believe, caters to both sides. And they know the liberal papers are the papers of choice for the elite. They are not about to change the way they advertise. Sad but true. But if all Republicans dropped all their newspaper subscriptions, that WOULD send a message.

We need to educate the advertisers, since manifestly their revenue is all that really keeps the Left in power in the media, that they have to stop playing both sides. Just TRY excluding the Left for one year, and give to any conservative alternative. Just try it. My guess is that conservative alternatives would flourish, and the NYT and its pretentious ilk would die within a short span of months. We really need to accomplish this, or it is all a spinning of our wheels. The NYT is clearly the heart of the conspiracy, every Left-wing broadcast television network exclusively depends on its editorial positions for theirs. Let's take 'em out! Let's get the advertisers to stop funding these perps and terrorist-enablers. We need to make the case in all seriousness.

You're right. Advertising revenue is what keeps the left in power in the media.

Actually, dependence on leftist papers for material goes beyond the leftist broadcast networks. All media uses the NYT editorials/polls/rankings as a springboard for their efforts. If its material is used as a base, the NYT is lent credibility by its use, even if only for rebuttal or debate.

I really don't think it's entirely a matter of education with the advertisers. They know who they're dealing with, but they have to go where the distribution is. Maybe some even like the paper's positions. A boycott of the NYT (and like papers) advertisers would have limited effect because we don't figure into their distribution/exposure numbers anyway.

Perhaps, if the conservative media discontinued using the NYT as a source for reporting, it would diminish its stature. Just a thought and I don't see evidence that this strategy has been tried.

The only HONEST polls are the inside polls and of course, those are confidential.

You have just personally insulted me. I am a professional pollster whose clients are 50 local TV news stations around the country. Our polls are as honest as they can be.

In the FL primary, we had Reno winning by 3 points with a 4% margin of error. The election finished in a virtual tie at 44% each, though McBride was a few 10ths of a point ahead. Our last 4 polls showed McBride trailing by 36, 25, 14, and 3 points and it was clear that he could easily gain another 3 points in the last few days (our poll was conducted 9/6, 9/7, and 9/8 and the election was 9/10). Given our stated MOE, this counts as "getting it right."

Sorry. That's why we are here so that I can say something that's inaccurate and you can correct me. But, I think that any poll the dems are floating, is likely FALSE. Haven't you seen the phony picture of McBride?

Bay News 9 gave the fake poll in the am and retracted by the end of the day.

My only other experience with pollsters is when I was called about Clinton, etc. wherein all the questions asked by phone were leading and I ended the poll when I stated so to the pollster.

If you're a professional pollster, good for you. I'm glad you are fair and balanced and "got it right" unlike the DNC AP poll.

I write slogans myself and if I don't get those right, nobody will like them. Politics is a very iffy business. Fregards, FV
