Well, consider this: most people are disinterested in such issues as discussed on this forum. So what or who does this forum attract? Consider the two ends of the spectrum. Competing ideas of people that have a vested interest in the status quo versus free thinking people grounded in a handful of basic/fundamental principles.

I have noticed over the years a somewhat steady increase in the number of people clamoring for the status quo. They are trying to drown out the competition. They're losing and the increase is a reflection of that. Yet what is it that we are winning? What does the future look like?

States don't have rights. It's important to get the basics correct first.

Cut the crap - you're mistaking me for the other ignorant hillbillies around here.

If the SC says you can't own a pop gun, it's the law.

A Constitution that Limits Government,
Limits Groups and Limits People
Ensuring the Best Ideas Benefit Individuals and Society

The limit of each person: Do whatever creates happiness for himself or herself so long as it doesn't initiate force, fraud or threat of force against any person. Those three; initiation of force, fraud and threat of force are the only prohibitions for any person, group of persons or government.

The smallest minority is the individual. Protect individual rights and private-property rights and all larger than one-person minorities are protected. So is the majority then protected. Protect the sanctity of private contract law.

Man advances technology geometrically. That is, new technology is created or invented in shorter time span from one technology to the next new/advanced technology. Unlike business and science technology that always advances, below is the most advanced constitution and final constitution to be enacted on Earth.

Get passed the criticism of the word "Universe" to understand The Constitution of the Universe. For it is on Earth that the constitution will be enacted. Get passed the criticisms of who wrote The Constitution of the Universe. For it is the constitution that limits each person's actions, not the author. Get passed the criticisms directed at the persons that advocate The Constitution of the Universe. For it is the constitution that limits each person's actions, not the advocates.

Those three criticisms are non sequiturs. Despite this forward explanation, some people will attack using one or more of those non-sequitur criticisms. Why? The person disagrees with The Constitution of the Universe (posted below) because it doesn't grant government agents nor themselves the power to initiate force, fraud or threat of force against people nor allow them to enlist government agents to initiate force, fraud or threat of force against people on their behalf.

The Constitution of the Universe allows each person to rise on his or her own competitive efforts to attain the happiness they seek. For example, a person that wants to help more homeless people than any other person will have to out-compete those other persons trying to help more homeless people than any other person.

The Constitution of the Universe
(1976)

Preamble

* The purpose of conscious life is to live happily.
* The function of government is to guarantee those conditions that allow individuals to fulfill their purpose. Those conditions can be guaranteed through a constitution that forbids the use of initiatory force, fraud, or coercion by any person or group against any individual.

***
Article 1

No person, group of persons, or government may initiate force, threat of force, or fraud against any individual's self or property.

Article 2

Force may be morally and legally used only in self-defense against those who violate Article 1.

Article 3

No exceptions shall exist for Articles 1 and 2.

* * *

The Constitution of the Universe rests on six axioms:
1. Values exist only relative to life.
2. Whatever benefits a living organism is a value to that organism. Whatever harms a living organism is a disvalue to that organism.
3. The basic value against which all values are measured is the conscious individual.
4. Morals relate only to conscious individuals.
5. Immoral actions arise from individuals choosing to harm others through force, fraud, deception, coercion -- or from individuals choosing to usurp, attack, or destroy values earned by others.
6. Moral actions arise from honestly and competitively creating or producing values for self, others, and society.
