Finding furniture like that shouldn't be that big a problem. I bet Bill and Hillary have some just like it.

ALRIGHT .. Congrats !!!

Hey thanks! I feel so much better and do look a lot better too. And this time, I feel confident that I can keep it off.

There's something about checking in with a group of fellow dieters to weigh in that really helps. Although one could lie online about how they are doing, we never have. We decided if we were not honest, what was the point? All of us had weeks when we gained a little back.

I am really enjoying the new thinner me, and need to treat myself to some new clothes to celebrate!

Both my PC's always reload the pictures when I hit refresh. Didn't know there was any other possible outcome. But the threads are loading smoothly tonight over here.

I thought this was interesting. From Yahoo news:

"President Bush, Winston Churchill and Princess Diana, shown in these file photos, are distant relatives whose ancestry can be traced back to a 15th century English squire, genealogists say. Researchers for the U.S.-based company MyFamily.com, which has a license to publish British census records from 1841 to 1901 on the Internet, found that the trio's roots can be traced to Henry Spencer of Badby, Northamptonshire, who lived between 1420-1478 and was married to Isabella Lincoln. It's unconditional because Saddam said it was unconditional.

And that one they are only pretending to enforce on the one percent of the land in Iraq that Saddam gets to declare as a military installation, the place least likely to have any such stuff.

An udder farce ... mooo !!!

wish W wouldn't have consulted with the UN. Seems those b***ards have W in a corner! I'm stilling waiting for W to pull the ACE from his sleeve. Now I'm wondering if he ever had one. :( HOW IN THE world do you solve this dilemma the administration has gotten themselves into...thanks to BLAIR! Who btw insisted we go FIRST to the UN hell hole and gain their support! Can anyone here explain this more clearly to me!

Let not your heart be troubled. There are a lot of nervous people at the UN, among the nations of the world, and in the press who don't understand that W put together a plan for dealing with every possible action the UN might take. I base this on review of his record and from being around managers who think and work like Bush. They are prepared. And Bush never asked the UN for permission. He knows it's a cat-herding job, trying to get the UN to do anything meaningful or useful. He made it very clear that he is asking them to display some backgone but if they won't, we will.

Here's some comfort from TLBShow, posted here.

Let me tell you what Bush is up to today.

— WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush will send the U.S. Congress a draft resolution on Thursday that the White House hopes will authorize him to take military action against Iraq if he deems it necessary, a Bush administration official said on Wednesday.

"It's a draft, but as the president said, we are going to work closely with Congress on the final resolution," the official said. Asked when the White House would transmit the draft to Congress, the official said: "tomorrow."

The official declined to go into details about what the draft resolution would say, but he noted that the White House has previously said that Bush specifically wanted language that would allow for the use of force if he deemed it necessary.

I know it's late and not many will see this but I wanted to post what is on my daily devotional calendar for September 18.
You never get to the end of Christ's words.
They pass into proverbs --
they pass into laws -- they
pass into doctrines ... after all
the use that is made of them,
they are still not exhausted.
Dean Stanley

Luke 21:33 "My words will never pass away."

It seems so appropriate for this thread, because of how often this is played out in President Bush's speeches and governance.

My best fix for a slow computer is to sign off, power off, reboot, and sign on again. Sometimes the cybermonkies get ahold of something and won't let go until I do that.

to allow inspections of the 1% of the Iraq land guaranteed to have no weapons of mass murder - visible military sites

This is such a laffer - of course Sad'm wouldn't store WMD on military sites. What is one of the first objectives on the coalition's radar to be blown up? Military sites! And if we blow up the WMD at Iraq's military sites, Sad'm nukes his own soldiers.

Earth to Kofi: Time to wake up.
