Exactly. Clinton needed the adulation. President Bush thinks it pompous - although I think he sees a need for it sometimes. Maybe it's just me, but I was really impressed with the humility and down-to-earthness that President Bush showed when he didn't find it necessary to be "hailed" every day. Says a lot.
